Driving down Business Rt. 1 in my mom's eclipse spyder gt, saw this thing a few times, 05/06 model, had a STi wing, silver with two BIG blue racing stripes from front to back. Had exhaust, loud BOV and triple a-pillar gauges

Definitely didn't sound stock, and I didn't care for the racing stripes, but whatever. Anyone on here? Curious what kind of mods this thing has. Turned off on Tyburn Rd, guess he's local to my area

Apparently it's fast but I just heard VF34 etc...

VF34, fmic, turbo back, tuned, sti trans dif and drivetrain, alot of mods. it is for sale at perruzi nissan used. THe asking price is 16k. It is a 2003 with 40k miles on it. Pretty clean. How do i know this? i work their haha.

ha nobody said anything that would indicate its slow... not sure where that came from.

the stripes suck though.

ya sure it has an sti trans in it? thats not too common, and if it had an sti rear diff it would have sti brembo rear brakes at least, there's no way around it other than getting $800 custom rear axles.

i work there. its a wrx. they didnt make bug eye's in sti's (i dont believe). but yea troll, 6spd ftw!

Not completely true. It could be a 06/07 STI trans. There is no need to swap rears out since the final drive ratio is the same. So it could be a bugeye with a 6MT and r160 rear.

No I said its slow, I ran him last year and pulled a car on him. He used to drive it like he stole it, and got beat alot.

crazy. did u run him in ur wrx? if so what mods did u have done im curious. cause i drove that thing, and it was pretty damn impressive.

oh believe me, i know all about 6 speeds

i was commenting that john said it had an sti diff in it, and i said it can only have an sti rear diff if it has sti rear brakes, which is true, unless you have custom rear axles.

unfortunately, it works like this:
if STi R180 rear diff, then: STi rear axles
if STi rear axles, then: STi rear hubs
if STi rear hubs, then: STi rear brakes

however you are correct, an STi tranny does not not mean you have to have an STi rear diff. I know because this is how my car is set up, and also jimtweets car as well, who I installed the 6MT for last week. it doesnt even require an 06-07 tranny either, you can swap a 3.9 R+P into a WRX rear diff to make the gearing right if you are installing an 04-05 6MT.

John, at the time it was Full catless turbo back, and a MBC at 18 psi. We rolled out in first, I pulled a car and held it. plenty of people can vouch for my car doing it. That same set up gave me a 13.2 1/4 with a poop 1.8 60'

Im just saying that i wasnt impressed with it. I guess he got an EVO?
