Screw you Mansfield!!

I gave you an honest answer to why I was going so fast. Can't you hook a brotha up?! Not like you didn't blow by me at 90 mph to turn around and then turn around again to pull me over.

Well, here, please share the story with the rest of us. What good's a rant thread without the backstory.

I know I was at fault, but the road was empty so I decided to see how my AFR's were with my new safc... I was literally like 1.5 seconds into giving it some leg and he was there. I'm saying, I never had a ticket and I didn't BS him. Couldn't he have just smashed my taillight like in the movies?

That sux man, but Mansfield has been red flagged on TST a few times, those cops are REALLY tough. Ive been hit there with loud radio at 7PM at night lol.

Anyway, you have a few options.

Pay the ticket: depending on how much you were over, your lookin at 2-4 points, and about $250-$400.

Fight it: If you really never got a ticket before, go to court, pleade not guity at the desk. Ask to see the prosecutor and tell prosecutor you want no points. The downside, if you are allowed to use an unsafe operations you have 1 left for 5 years. Also its going to be like $123 court, $100 fine and probably $255 surcharge. Its gonna run you almost $500 but honestly i would do it. If you dont your insurence for your car will go up more then that realisticlly. Even if its 50 bucks more a month thats over 500 more a year. And you will have a blemish if you want to do anything as a career for driving.

Anyway i hope i helped alittle bit and im sorry you got stopped. I have 10 points now and am barely keeping my job lol.

Is that the reason you gave him? LOL And that didn't get you out of the ticket? WTF?!?! I would report that to his superiors and tell them the same story.

HAhaha, Yeah I told him that. He was just like, 'testing your new fuel computer, huh?' and walked away. I figure I'll just bit the bullet and pay whatever, see if I can get some points knocked off with a class or something.

Really? Hmm, the ticket is only $100. I got to find out how much 4 points will make my insurance go up.

Most insurances surcharge $80-$200 per point, per year for 3 years so definitely look into it.

If you have two or less points you aren't surcharged for points.

Hmm, I was thinking that. Pay the $100 ticket and take a defensive driving class or something. Might be a good choice.
