just swinging by to call you an asshole, cause every time i see a c5 z06 i think to myself... "self... you really should have bought that instead of the mustang... would have saved money and had a faster car"

Nice vette. I've heard good things about those rotors and pads.

I had them on my GTO and Mustang. Great rotors. Pads don't have quite as much bite as I'd like but have almost no brake dust. Powerstop does have upgraded pads that are the same as Hawk HPS but much cheaper.

looking good bud. Glad you didn't have any issues as I did....but you also had a lot less miles compared to me when I did brakes. Also, just a suggestion, you shouldn't lift/support the car in the front by the engine cradle. Move the boards/jack stands to the sub frame that's just behind the engine cradle. Much better support.

So about a week after doing my brakes I started having some noise in the passenger side front. Took it apart and put back together. Nothing. Took it apart again and I noticed an issue on the inside of my wheel... the chrome is flaking off(Gotta love GM build quality with only 45k miles on the car). It looked like a 2" long peice of tin foil that was rubbing the bottom of my caliper as my wheel spun. I pulled the flake off and hit the rest of the inside with a wire brush to get as much loose stuff off as possible.

Seems that I'm more motivated to get my wheels media blasted and powder coated then I was before...

I haven't seen very many sets of these wheels last long. Especially with you driving it in the rain and snow(which is badass
Btw).

Any idea on what color you'd like to go with? I can't see anything but black go well with the yellow. The right shade of gun metal could work, maybe white.

Black is def the way I'm going to go. Not sure on a gloss, matte, or flat yet though. Should look really good once I tint the windows, tails, and sidemarkers too.

Gloss for the simple fact that your car is shiny. The flat and matte might hide dirt better though.

I vote semi-gloss. Having a high gloss on a black wheel (especially ours I've seen many) you lose a bit of definition of the wheel. It almost gets hidden into the fender well and tire. Just looks like big black holes. I dunno, imo a semi gloss would give you some shine but not reflect everything back and give you that "hidden" wheel syndrome
