I got a bmw

Seems a little dead in here... Any other bmw dudes? I just picked up a 2002 m5... I'm psyched. So what kind of oil should I use? LOLOL

Heres an instagram I took the day I got it (only 4 days ago). I want to clean it up and fix a couple issues before I take the glamor shots.

Nice, I had an E39 a couple of years ago, and then I went to a 135I that had bolt ons. My current car is an E60 M5.

You're going to want to use the Castrol 10W60 from BMW. Its about 15 a quart.

The car currently has the lubri-moly 10w60. From what I can tell its a bit of a holy war on the bmw boards about which is better.

Yeah, I usually just buy the OEM stuff since I can get it at the dealer.

I dunno if the E39 M5 eats oil like the E60, but all E60's need a quart added every 1500 or so miles. I keep a quart in the trunk.

Congrats on the new purchase.

I have a 96 Z3, 98 M3 convertible and a 00 M roadster.

They are all fun in their own way.

Saving now for an e39 M5. Love the way they drive.

Got the windshield replaced, sent out the rearview mirror to get rebuilt... Need to figure out what to do with that front plate holder. If I take it off there will be holes in the bumper. Someone sells color matched plugs, but I dunno if I want to spend 30 dollars on 50 cents worth of plastic...

Also I tried upgrading the software on my mk3 navi computer and messed it up pretty good. I got access to a new cd burner today, hope it comes back to life...

Sold it a little while back. Got a miata with the money, but decided that was too slow. Looking to sell the miata now that I have this thing.

My 135i had the front plate holder drilled into it. I HATE that ****...

IMO a couple of small holes look better than the plate holder though.

Front plates are the main reason why I wont move back to NJ.
