Higu's 2000 Sportage

So after getting rid of the Mustang, I got a sensible, cheap daily. I was satisfied, for about a week. Now I am planning more odd things to do to this wagon. But for now I'll show you guys some pictures

It's a 2000, 4 door, 4x4, Auto.

115k on the dial

Took it down a pot hole ridden dirt road today. It handled it ok, better than the 'Stang did, but I def need some better suspension pieces for it to be real fun. Here are some pictures, and a video

Your video title says off road, but you clearly were on the road. lol had to say it. Hmm could be fun, but how will the bottom end like boost, and does anyone make trans parts for these?

The bottom end as far as I can find, is the same as the 3FE mazda motor. The top end just has weaker parts, but its the same thing otherwise, so I'm pretty sure i can source things for it. As for trans parts, i don't know. Boost is near the end of the line though, so i have time to figure it out

Indeed. Here are some videos taken to see how the Kia performs stock in a decent off road setting.

Some random pics why not

Also rear seats are out for transporting goods. Surprising amount of room without them in there

good luck with it...

my wife had a 99 and it was a piece... it jumped time after the idler pulley on the waterpump broke off the housing. father in law decided that an interference motor can jump time and just be put back together. needless to say it never ran right after that. (not that it ran well to begin with) after we got rid of it, i heard that it jumped time at least 2 more times... LOL

It is a serious piece. But IDGAS, it gets me around, and I have my fun with it. I still have to replace an O2 sensor, and I need to change the valve cover gasket, but whatever. I prolly won't, it's just not worth it.
