I think it will look a lot better once the false seat is in. It looks ricer-ish with out the rear seat in there at the moment.

Huh? Why would you get an HID kit when STi's already have HID's?

News to me: not ALL STi's come with HIDs -OR- the douchbag that had my car removed the HIDs. I wouldn't know why but there's wiring problems with my headlights and I don't have HIDs. So hence the HID kit.

Take a picture of the car with your lights on, and then post it. I'm pretty sure all STi's came with them, and since you have the adjustable lights (noting the switch in your pic of the turbo timer) it would only make sense, they wouldn't have made the adjustable housing without the HID kit, just WRX lights. Are they just not blue enough for you? The stock HID is 4300k, which is a super white.

You should be able to tell with the way they turn on and progressively get brighter, especially when its cold out.

FWIW you have the correct year housings (04 is silver 05 is black) unless they were opened up and painted.

I wouldnt be surprised if the person that traded the car in had a friend with a wrx and swapped the hids + some cash. The STI setup is like $1500.

Alright guys well my car did not have HIDs for whatever reason...but....it does now =) lol. Also installed were shifter bushings...the shifter feel is 10 times better than before and the play in the shifter is drastically reduced. Also, the rear was raised 1/2 an inch and i thin kit looks alot better than the pounded set up before. The rear inside was also cleaned up and the trunk was de-badged of the WRX, Impreza, and STi badges. Also i took a pic of the AEM wideband gauge that was installed acouple of weeks ago. I also pulled the trigger and bought a set of Works Emotion KR-CAI 18x9.5 from a fellow TST member (great guy). They came with 245/40 tires and spacers, two of the tires are useful the other two are balding. This month the tires will be dismounted and the rims will be powdeercoated a semi-gloss black. Next month im buying tires...most likely Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec in 255/35. Fender work will also be done next month. After that there wont be any updates for awile as the next mods im doing is the Raw Track series shortblock, Cosworth high volume oil pump, OEM water pump, timing belt kit, ACT 6 puck sprung clutch, ACT streetlite flywheel, headgaskets, valvesprings and retainers, and GSC stage 2 cams. I plan to break the motor, clutch and flywheel, and cams in at once. Thanks everyone!! heres some pics.

DPancoast- Thank you for the compliment. As for the color of the wheels....they are painted that gunmetal color and have some chips so they need to be painted again. I plan on taking them to LPC tom. and having them powdercoated........semi-gloss black...so sorry man lol. But to each his own i guess.....btw love the car man great build. Thanks!
