VWCorradokid's Supra Build Thread - Updated on post 142
It all started when I was asked to take a few pictures of a Supra so it could go up for sale on Supraforums. I was kind enough to take a bunch of photos...and not give them to the guy. When he asked why I wouldn't send the pictures, I responded with, "You don't need them, the car is already sold". He was kind of confused, so I proceeded to tell him that I am buying the car. He handed over the keys at the IAS Show in Fort Washington, PA., along with the signed title, extra wheels, lug nuts and a few other odds and ends. The car was sitting at Precision Dyno Tuning (when they were still in business and located in Bristol, PA). I was going to have Nick at Precision Dyno Tuning (not to be confused with Precision Tuning) build the car. I went into this knowing that the engine was shot and needed to be rebuilt. So I started to do some research while the car just sat at PDT. Knowing that the car was going to sit for a while, I stopped up at the shop, washed it (using gallon jugs of bottled water from Wal-Mart because nobody was at the shop that day), and put a car cover on it to keep it as clean as I could. So i ordered a TON of parts to be shipped to the shop and was waiting on a few more. I went up to the shop another day to check on the car and see if Nick was going to have any time to work on it once more parts started to trickle in. Once again, nobody was there. I walked around back to see the car and when I got back there...I saw the car right away, which was a shock because I had covered it. Nick had taken it upon himself to remove the cover that I purchased for my car, and put it on another customer's car, leaving my car to be beaten up by the elements. I looked at the cover and it looked like it was dropped in a puddle of trans fluid because it was red and greasy. Needless to say I was PISSED! I called a buddy of mine who could get a trailer there and I pulled the car out of there while nobody was around. Nick had no money of mine nor had he done any work to my car, so there was no financial obligation for me to keep my car there. I immediately trailered the car down to Rich at Fuzion Auto in Havertown, PA and it's been there ever since. I keep adding to the list of things and Rich has been fairly patient with me doing that. Here's a few pictures from yesterday when I stopped by Rich's garage. 1. Front shot, hood on the roof. 2. Empty engine bay. 3. The only time you'll ever hear me say, "That's one sexy, wide ass" ABS unit that I'm contemplating pulling out. Say bye-bye to the Traction Control Unit Rich's freshly painted engine bay. The Volks

its supposed to be done 'real soon'... but thats been the story for a long time, haha.
they were going to drop the motor in 2 weeks ago but it got held up, now i dont know what the plan is but the talk is that it will be done really soon. all i'm saying is that if my car is running before his... ultimate fail.

I still have a Corrado too. That project has been pushed off for a long time. I will probably get on it once the Supra is done.
