Which to buy? 09 Si or 06 Type S
09 civic si 85,000 miles 06 rsx type s 100,000 miles Both are the same price per month with the si having a 12 month longer loan. I'm leaning toward the rsx. Usual milage for 7 year old car and rarer. But what would you guys choose. |

Personally I love the styling of the rsx, and for some reason they dont come off as ricer as newer si's. I can honestly I have never seen a newer si that Ive liked. The rsx has a better style right off the bat and I think has more tasteful amounts of body mods. And the civic has a lot of miles, even if it is a honda that will go forever. I definitely say rsx hands down. Plenty of people on here know I would pick one up if I had the extra money.

If I had to go with either..the Acura. But both are both not my flavor.

Neither for me, but if you're into them, I'd say go with the RSX. At least at the end of the day you're driving an Acura, just don't rice it out, I've seen too many of those ruined...

I had a 2007 Civic Si. Loved that car man - the shifter is amazing (assuming the car stays in third gear). It was my DD so I wasn't modding it but I have a friend down Maryland making like 650whp on his turbo kit. Pretty sick numbers.......

go with the honda. like another said it will hold its value more. also if your getting a loan for either car, the honda is still a better deal. you dont want to end up in the red trying to resell a car whos value is going to drop especially given that its already 7 years old

Sounds like the dealer is selling you a payment instead of a car. In case you didn't you should've negotiated prices before you start talking credit. It's hard, but it provides the best result for you.

I like this RSX more but I think the civic is a better buy personally. As far as car for car anyway, not really thinking about the money aspect. Id take a 4 door si over a coupe any day though like a couple others here have said. and a RSX is not rare...

seems like you would be better off telling everyone the price of both the cars. It gives us something to compare to as opposed to saying 12 months longer on the loan. That way people with experience with either or both cars can tell you if you are getting a good deal on them or being ripped off by the dealer. At first glance I would go for the Si with the lower mileage but if your payment is $400 a month for the extra 5g cost its not worth it.

The loan is only $200 a month for those interested and well those were the two on the lot I was considering but im going to look at a mazdaspeed 6 Saturday. I loved my wrx and well this is quicker and I've always liked them.

Did they even tell you how much their selling you the car for? Like I said before it seems like they're selling you a payment. They probably asked you right off the bat, "What do you feel comfortable paying a month?"
