new summer car - 2007 Lotus Exige 240S

I've always wanted one of these, so i picked up one for the summer! Crazy car, so much fun. This is like a straight up go kart - no rear view mirror or nothing. The most fun I've ever had driving a car for sure, and it's so good on gas. Hopefully I'll have good luck with it

if anyone knows any interesting tidbits about the car please do tell - i know nothing except how to drive it.

thank you. i'm really excited. what's the red light above the middle of the tack that turns red when you kinda get on it and shift high?

Lol you really don't know much huh?

That's a shift light. Redline is 6200 (iirc) before the water temp comes up, and 8500 once shes all warmed up.
You also have launch control to play around with. The traction control btw is awful, just shut it off

thanks. that's what i thought, i don't pay too much attention to this kind of stuff anymore. i just want to be able to get in something and drive it. i had a modded evo for four years and so many problems, i'm glad to kinda be out of all of that. too busy.

Not to be that guy, but you have gotten yourself into a whole lot of car. Yor Audi is a lot more " set it and forget it". As exige is a go cart, and requires more effort than any other road car i have owned. You need to be engaged at all times. Not to mention the motor is bulletproof but suspension and body are glass.

yeah i know nothing about this. i have multiple allen keys on me though at all times in case i want to take the top of. i got good at that. hows the launch control in this work?

ah ok got it. yeah i mean i can drive it awesome - and i'm always in heels, it isn't an issue. i mean, i manage a hedge fund for a living, i don't have time for anything. its reliable and fun, i never bottom out and i'm used to avoiding potholes and all. i love the suspension on it - i can tell if i'm running over a dime or a quarter.

Dont take the roof off frequently. You'll end up stripping the torx bolts. Not to mention it limits power because the car needs the roof in order to funnel air to the intercooler. It gets heat soaked with the quickness with the roof off.

No launch control in first year exige s. which by the way is the 220, 08 got the canbus dash, launch control, and the reflash worth 20hp aka s240

oh wow. you weren't kidding about not being stock lol. that black one is so nice. thanks for the tips though. yeah it runs like 187, and i notice if im sitting in traffic without the top on it'll creep above 200 and then i start to get nervous aha

Get worried if the water temp gets to the high teens or low twenties. And overheating lotus is dangerous.

Was yours effected by the oil line recall? Both of mine were.

And thanks. Wite one made 300 whp and weighed 2050, white one made 280 but weighed 1860

i have no idea. if it was i'm sure it was taken care of from mach 5. that's sick. i think they're some of the sexiest cars.
