2000 Regal GS - 12.9 @ 109.91mph - 2.166 60ft

Went to atco last night and made a total of 7 passes. The place was empty.

Ran my fastest 1/4 time and trap speed to date in the car last night.

This was done on full weight 3600lbs+? (minus spare tire), 11.7 AFR, 17* timing, 93 pump gas and normal street tires. Original stock block and heads with 157K.

12.900 @ 109.91mph with a 2.166 60ft (Fastest 1/4 Run to Date in Car)

13.374 @ 110.01mph with a 2.467 60ft (Fastest Trap Speed to Date in Car)

Progress of best 1/4 times in car from 2008 to 2010:

9/18/08: 1/4 = 14.594 @ 93.49mph - 2.189 60 Foot

6/4/08: 1/4 = 13.115 @ 106.08mph - 2.120 60 Foot

10/17/08: 1/4 = 13.003 @ 108.31mph - 2.150 60 Foot

7/9/09: 1/4 = 12.994 @ 107.82mph - 2.118 60 Foot

11/5/10: 1/4 = 12.900 @ 109.91mph - 2.166 60 Foot

Being I can trap 110mph in my car what 1/4 could I expect if I got serious and put some DR's or slicks on the car? Honestly that is the only thing that is holding me back because I cannot get out of the hole fast enough for the life of me.

Overall I am very happy with how this car performs considering the weight its pulling and miles the car is pushing. Just amazes me how the car has come along over the years.

It's a Buick, not an Olds. They only come in automatic. I know the trans is beefed up but I forget what it is and I think he dynoed in the 350whp range.

Yup its a Buick. People tend to not know what my car is normally calling it a Park Avenue.

Yes the Transmission is a Dynotech Stage II Racing Trans. The single post expensive part of the car. It actually cost more then the car did. When my stocker lost 4th gear I didn't wanna mess around with trans breaking every few months so just blew the $$ and hopefully don't have to deal with it for along time.

Love seeing this car, well built, clean every time i see it, & pretty freakin quick for a regal.

Would to see it on a real tire.

Mid 12's are a certainly there if I am able to get into the upper 1.0 60ft range
Low 12's if I could somehow cut a 1.7 60ft?

All I know is there are plenty of other Regal GS M90 SC guys with more/less mods then me running low 12's however they cut 1.7 60 foots vs my 2.1.

All I know is, should have went turbo if I wanted to run 11's without too much effort. These are the fastest times that I am aware of.

Fastest Regal GS Turbo:
10.855 @ 127.57 with a 1.679 60ft

Fastest Regal GS with M90 SC:
11.951 @ 114.53 with a 1.747 60ft

Being the Pontiac Grand Prix guys are tend to be more hardcore then us Buick guys, they are certainly running MUCH Quicker!

Fastest GP with Twin Turbos:
8.6582 @ 158.97 with a 1.356 60ft

Fastest GP with M90 SC
11.084 @ 125.01 with a 1.71 60ft

The gran prix's are built a little diffrentley. One being i know there is a diffrence in the 4t60 transmission most of them 2 doors diffrent suspension and i think there a tad bit lighter. Your car can get into these times though. there is a HUGE aftermarket presence for the 3800SC. Theres a guy on another fiero forum i belong to. he ended up taking a 3800SC blcok and put all the N/A parts onto it and turbocharged the thing. in a fiero he is seeing 9's. if you want i could get his contact info for you. hes really good with the 3800's

Actually motor/trans wise they are exactly the same with the L67. The non SC cars have different gear ratio's and diffs. The 2 door GP's I think are 300lbs lighter then the 4 door Regal. However funny enough the regal weighs alittle less then the 4 door GP. Its just more guys with GP push the mod levels higher vs the Regal guys. That is why I only know of 1 Regal running 10's and maybe 1 or 2 running 11's vs there being tons of GPs doing the same. Turbo is the way to go with these cars. You get double the power with less mods with a turbo. A dyno event I went to two months ago there was two turbo 3800's. One did 360WHP bone stock almost and the other 413WHP with a turbo cam.

I am certainly happy with where the car is at. 333WHP with original 157K stock block/heads/compression. I could certainly throw some heads or even larger cam into my car but just going to enjoy it for what it is now. For the size it moves along JUST fine. Actually my trap times are as fast as other guys running a larger Cam then I have. I kick myself for not going with a larger cam but at the time I was daily driving this car and couldn't pass on the deal I got on this one.

I have been tempted to get my hands on a Fiero and do a 3800 turbo swap. Those things run 10's without much effort being RWD and much lighter. However a house is next and no more silly mods!

Will have to take you up on your offer for 2011 to maybe see what it can do with some actually traction. I just noticed you live in Sicklerville NJ. The company I work for has an office located in Sicklerville and I have been out that way before. Small world.

I could have sworn the there was a slight diffrence in the transmission even in the SC cars but io'm not 100% on them. but hell buick does have a pretty good fallback in the preformance car history with the grand national. it as well had a 3800 motor. it is diffrent from the ones we know now but even still. i would give my left lung for a grand national. Of its time it was even a vette beater..

stock motor grand am with a turbo did 110 @ 12.4 with slicks, weight is pretty close you should be in that range. But not sure what his actual weight was I think it was stripped out.

You have a diffrent engine than his. you have a 3.4 which is still a bada$$ motor... the 3.4 also begs to be bosted. i know a douchbag with a 3.4 swap into a fiero that is pushing out some serious power.

The 3400 is a pretty decent motor. Have heard of people running some pretty darn decent times with the 3400. Its just there isn't that big of an aftermarket for it that's the problem.

My old Eurosport had the 2.8 V6 which is the same motor design as the 3400. That had 241K with almost everything original on it. Head gaskets, timing chain, etc. Ran great the day I sold it off to someone.
