sucks about the subaru, but luckily drive line swaps are fairly easy to do. Body work looks crazy, that was my original career path, definitely something i respect, but not something i would ever torture myself with for a lifetime... Cant wait to see all these cars come together

Yea i definitely need luck!
We just finished the subaru but the trans is acting up now....i'm not sure. Im getting a solenoid "A" code....it moves but it doesnt shift or doesnt shift correctly. Using the old transmission in the 2000 and the motor from the 2002 because the trans didnt have any issues prior to the swap...I changed the filter and fluids because i thought it mightve been a clog of sorts but that didnt work. Now i need to find a Subaru Guru..... |

Awesome, i'll get on it. I'm going to drop the pan again and go over all solenoids as soon as we get a break in the weather.

The subaru is done! I will have pictures of the complete work soon but there was a broken solenoid. Damn thing cost me $103 but its worth it. I'm transferring the title today and taking it home to make sure everything is in working order. Datsun will be worked on this week as its a little warmer and the subbie is pretty much done. Going to work on the other seat. |

That's some extensive work! Crap. It reminds me of the kind of work I would have to do to my Juke if I wanted to do an IRS conversion. Glad to know that you will be working on the Datsun soon :D. Since you aren't working on the Shiro, how about sending that bad boy my way? Lol. I gave up looking for Z31s, but I have found something else from the 80's that I might be picking up this week. I'll be cheating on Nissan (I've only ever owned Nissans, up to 8) if I buy it, but it is definitely cool, different, and super clean. I think you would dig it Emp.

Naw. Not a huge fan of Toyotas. I love the old Celicas though.
Test drove a super clean 88 Mazda MX-6 GT. Man I love that little F2T engine, and the baby turbo strapped to it. I guess I have a weak spot for 4 cylinder FWD cars... with tiny turbos. I just always loved this car. Great body style, and they are tanks, plus they make stupid torque, something like 190 stock. |
