pop some car cover knowledge

After 25 hours of driving over the last 2 days and picking up a car for my dad, I'm (and by me and really mean my father) in the market for super quality waterproof car cover. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where I should look or what companies I should look for? Unfortunately the car will be kept outside as there's no current garage.

Are you speaking of an M3 coupe or an M coupe?

He asked me to find some M coupes available for sale for him and when I came across this one I figured it would be a pretty simple decision. I showed it to him and after we spoke to the owner on the phone at length over a week or two we decided to take the trip.

I would give california car covers a call.

Make sure you get one designed for oyur car and fits snuggly and has a heavy fabric.

A loose fitting cover flaps around and lets dirt get under it. Want guess what a flapping cover with dirt under it does. YIKES think sandpaper. Also why you never want to put a cover on a car when the car is dirty.

Good luck and awesome car.

I've got an incredible cover, I'll check the label in a little bit and write back.

I was actually just getting back to this thread to ask about the California Car Covers. I'm on their site and they seem pretty durable.

Its an outdoor cover, but I used it indoors over the winter...

such a sick car, your dad is a baller. unfortunately i have no idea about car covers. i'm sure a bmw dealer has one for the car, if you wanna pay for it. if anything, contact them and ask them the materials they used to make it. use those materials to find a non dealer cover if its too expensive.

I have OEM BMW car covers for the bmws and they are great for storage covers but they are not waterproof so they arent the best for year round coverage.

Hmmmm...I'm actually going to be looking for something for my M3 while it's in my garage all winter. You like the OEM? I've seen them for relatively cheap ($65).
