Joe's 94 Slammed Turbo Wagon - For Sale!
(1994) (Saturn) (SW2) ----------------------------------------------- The first page here is my old journal of my SL2 which I totalled in late 2010. Start Date: April 2005 Planned End Date: ? I'm basically going for something that'll get me around, get good gas mileage and not be slow as dirt. I'm doing a few visual mods just to make it look a little nicer, but nothing too ricey. Exterior: 16" American racing wheels, painted white with 215/45R16 Falken 512's / 15" steelies with stock tires for winter. Cut front bumper w/ grille Tinted tails SATAN front emblem Clear corners Ebay headlights w/ clear lenses, black backing Interior: Swapped to black interior w/ black leather seats. Custom A pillar from RX7 Pioneer HU Sony explode speakers Carbon shift knob "racing" pedals Painted gauge needles Silver stainless gauge bezel Red backlit bulbs for gauges Engine/Performance: Big ported and polished and decked head (~10:1) Valve job w/ stock valvetrain and 93 flat faced valves SDA street cams Stock rebuilt bottom end w/ hyper pistons custom Vibrant WAI ported stock intake manifold ported Geo Storm GSI TB Pacesetter header (ported, cracked, leaking, junk) catco highflow 2.25" cat Custom mandrel 2.25" Catback w/ 30" glasspack and ebay muffler Apexi SAFC II AEM Wideband O2 sensor Poly inserted dogbone engine mounts Suspension: Progress full coilovers (non-adjustable) SPS 17.5 rear sway bar MOOG greasable endlinks BWtuckers endlink brackets full energy poly bushing AMR custom front strut tower brace Power steering delete w/ full manual rack conversion stock motors are gay. These are the wheels that are going back on the car, i'm in the process of refinishing and painting them. They were pretty badly curbed up when i got them, but I got em for cheap so I'm not complaining. They're a 16X7 which is just what i wanted

Interior came from a JY car, it was all in really good shape when i pulled it. The leather seats came from some dude in phoenixville (i think i'm spelling that wrong) and those are in really good shape besides that the frame on the drivers seat is busted. They just need to be conditioned and fix the drivers seat and they'll be good to go.
I need a bunch of stuff this summer though, a trunk, rear bumper, front fenders, at least one door skin and maybe a front bumper. The car will be painted and tinted soon, not sure exactly what color I'm going with yet though.

well it's been forever since this has been updated and I'm sure not too many people care, but I've got a ton of work that's going to happen before the end of April for the sonic meet. I wanna get this thing spruced up and dropped down. To do before the meet:
-replace fuel pump -fix stupid misfire or whatever is causing the car to chug at partial throttle occasionally -Progress coilovers -repaint brakes -replace all rear bushings w/ poly -new more sleeper muffler (no more fart can!) -fix rust, especially in the rear door sills and front subframe -paint, finally!!! (mabye, more than likely going WRC blue) -fix rattles that have re-developed on interior -new wheels, looking for a 16x8 n 205/50R16 912's -find newer MP3 trans to replace the beat one in this car -newer control arms -new painted knuckles -replace or fix crappy header -yellow fog light tint (maybe) -35% window tint all around (another maybe) It's a somewhat big list, but I think i can definitely see getting it done in the few months I've got. I'm gunna be daily driving my 95 SC2 that I picked up for a while till I get this done, then i'll be selling that off and putting this car back on the road. Really I just want to do what i've always wanted to get done with this car. It should be pretty sweet once it's all done (as far as a saturn goes lol.)

Hoping for one color before the april meet. Just throwing a quick update in here. Wanted to start taking parts out a few days ago, but not gunna happen now since it was raining a little and my yard is too soft for it to go anywhere. I wanna start tearing it down so i can pull out the engine/trans together and just bolt everything back together outside of the car. Which reminds me, gotta pick up a new friction surface for the fidanza while i have that out. I'm back and forth about getting rid of the power steering as it's nice to have for a DD, but I used to drive without and and i actually enjoy not having it once the car is rolling. Also going to be replacing the AC compressor and one of the hoses as the system just doesn't want to act correctly even after replacing the high pressure line and regulator deal on the firewall. Somone mentioned i should probably do the dryer at the same time so that'll probably happen too.

Anyway, on to updates. The car is coming back apart again, here's some shots. Everything except the motor outs are out now to get the engine out. Got the header out tonight and a few other small things. Now I just need to get some parts and I'll be ready to rock n roll.

Probably not quite that much, the first gen fenders sit a little higher I believe so it won't look quite as low, but it'll be close. Progress drop more even too, so the back won't sit up higher.

well here's a few crappy pics. I did take it for a short drive tonight and realized that with widish sticky tires, no power steering and a really crappy alignment the car is not fun to drive haha. Also the lower coolant hose decided to start leaking > but i think it's just not seated correctly and clamped right so i'll fix that tomorrow or wednesday. It's hard to get a real good idea of how it sits right now, but once it's all better i'll do better photo shoot.
I still wanna touch up in the engine bay a little before the show, it's pretty clean, but i wanna get it cleaner. EDIT: got the coolant hose fixed, no biggy there. My one tie rod end bolt is stuck, so it's currently soaking in atf and hopefully i can get it moving before the show sunday. I'm doing some work trimming the fender liners as my tires are going to rub them off soon if i don't.
