How risky is your car to insure? (Read this before you buy your nest car)

Great link below which has a pretty nice liability and damage guide for determining car insurance rates. Pretty interesting to see how certain cars rate.

I think that chart is wrong. How can the M3 be an E when the F430 is only a D in damage repair costs

D - Charged somewhat higher than strandard premium

E - Charged significantly higher than standard premium

It's possible maybe? My SLK is a C while the G35 is a D, and the SLK being a 2-seat convertible and 2x as expensive as the AWD 4-door sedan. If I remember correctly, my rate for the SLK was actually around $50 cheaper every six months.

Wow, the standard lancer and eclipse are both E and E, while the Evo is D and E. It's only one letter off, but still.

Well think about though....the cheaper cars are more commonly purchased by younger people, who tend to be higher risk drivers and therefore cause more claims to be filed for those vehicle types.

If you have have enough money to buy a F430 and it gets damaged, you are most likely not worried about putting that claim through your insurance....

i dont understand the percentage part...is a low number safe or a high number safe? rx8 is 20 while the mx5 is 40.....that would mean a lower number is safe right?

i dunno, the other two cars i considered to buy b4 the rx8 both got E as well as the 8 so id get raped no matter what.

when i was shoppin i chekced out 350z and s2000. the z and 8 were around the same while the s2k was literally double.....
