What motor does that thing have in it? I hope for your sake its the 4 cylinder cuz the 6's they come with are the biggest pile of garbage ever created, and the trans for the 6 is weaksauce.

Wish I never sold mine, great trucks! I had the king cab, desert runner 2wd, supercharged desert sand pebble metallic/black leather w red stitching, and I modded the balls off it. Mine actually put down 330whp at 14psi tuned with safc II, far from stock, beat the krud out of it every day, and never had an issue. GL with it man!

idk who told you that lie, but I know of a few 600+whp Z31s that would argue that. LOL

SOHC VG = WINNING. The old ass 80s VG30E has held 780whp on stock internals, $100 junkyard engine...with a proper tune. *most* people manage around 450whp before deciding to go to aftermarket internals.

Regardless, you should definitely drift this thing! :P

Not a lie, I work at a Nissan dealer and have personally replaced a couple of these engines. Also the internals in these trucks are not even close to the same as the Z31 so you're numbers mean pretty much nothing in relation to the truck.

Back on topic, those shocks were super beat, where the hell was this truck from NY? Lol. And that exhaust is tragic looking.

The only issue is incompetent Nissan techs putting the timing belt on with too much tension and snapping the crank snout off. There are multiple 400+whp Z31s with the stock VG33E internals, look at my sig. I'm running a VG33. The rods are the same as W-series Z31 rods, the crank is mostly the same except for a LARGER crank snout, and the pistons are made of the same materials, the difference being mainly bore and the upper ring lands aren't as far down the piston...meaning if you detonate, you risk doing more damage.

Lets go over Z31 Internals:
Cast Ductile Crankshaft
Forged Connecting rods (as all Nissans have)
Cast Aluminum Pistons

Lets go over VG33 internals:
Cast Ductile Crankshaft
Forged Connecting Rods
Cast Aluminum Pistons.

Other IMPROVEMENTS to the VG33 is superior block webbing in the Valley, larger exhaust manifold studs, and over the Z31...shares the improved ports the 85E heads had (early 90s maximas, pathfinders, etc) which are of better design than the Z31 heads (both A/B and W-series)

So if you could explain why you had to replace a VG33E in a truck, I'd like to hear it. It was most likely due to poor maintenance or an incompetent tech tightening the timing belt too much.
