Need system info

I have a 07 outlander with the 9 speaker system. It has 2 door speakers, 2 front tweeters, 2 back door speakers with tweeters in the center, and 1 sub in the rear. The amp is under the pass seat.

My question is.... I plan on upgrading the sub and putting another 10" sub in its place. I will need to put in another amp just to power the sub that is all I want to take off the stock amp and put onto the new amp. How do I put in this new amp and have it work off my head unit? How would I disconnect my old sub wires?

If your really good and can draw me a diagram of the wiring and other parts needed I would appreciate it.

I just found out about a Line level converter.
Can I plug the stock sub wires into this converter and run the RCA cables to the new amp?

Well I foudn out I can cut the 2 wires from the head unit to the amp. Before the amp. The sub wires. Take them and run them to the new amp for the speaker in line. Hook up the sub and amp as normal. Cap off the wires from the amp to the sub by the sub so if i hook back up the old amp i can with out running all new wires. Having the level all the way up on the amp and turn down the level in the head unit and control it from there.

Is this correct?

I would run at least a 8 gauge or below wire from the the battery for a aftermarket amp.Cause it will draw way more power than the stock one is.

wire up the line out AT THE FACTORY AMP (this is where u can pull the audio signal) , run rca's from line out to new amp....pop facotry sub out and just disconnect it. I wouldnt recommend putting an aftermarket sub in the factory subs location, there is not enough air space. Then simply pull an 8 gauge wire from battery (fused) to new amps location, use an ignition source (switched power) to turn on the amp then throw a good ground from amp to chasis ground and your good!

All assuming you are going to use remain with factory radio....

In the diagram it shows the it using both rear speakers to create RCAs. Will I be able to use this to convert just 1 set of speaker wires? I want ot just put in my wires for the stock sub.
