I have an le5/lsj hybrid that will be going in to replace the l61.
Bottom end is more displacement, lsj head is a stronger casting with more meat in the ports for head work down the road, exhaust valves are sodium filled, and the cams are better suited for the blower (since the lsj was supercharged from the factory). It also has a cometic head gasket and arp studs. Other guys that have run this setup have seen better iat recovery times with the increased displacement. Before it goes in, I have upgraded timing hardware and balance shaft deletes to install. Also have phenolic head/mani spacer, 60# injectors, and a lightened alt pulley that will be going in. I may try to pulley down as well before getting retuned.

Sticking with the m62 for now... possibly dropping from a 3.0 to a 2.8 pulley. Eventually want to ditch the m62 for a Harrop tvs1320 but that’ll be down the road.

last time the car was on the rollers, it made 207whp. This time around I'll be happy with anything over 250 whp. (I expect it to make more than 250 but low expectations lol) In addition to what I have waiting to go on the car, i've also redone the exhaust (longtube, 3", catless, side exit), added an ls1 throttlebody, phenolic blower/mani spacer and a probably a few other odds and ends that i'm forgetting since the last dyno. guys have made just over 300whp with the m62 on an lsj but usually it requires meth or e85. (meth isn't scca legal and i'm not sure how well E would work with as little as the car is driven)
Car was 2650 lbs last time I had it on the scales. removed a few things since then but haven't taken it back over to weigh it again.

Ennotech Designs lightened alt pulley installed balance shaft deletes and upgraded timing bolts installed as well looking at a possible belt routing with the ac compressor completely deleted and a quick mock-up pic still lots to do before its ready to go back in the car...

more wrench time on the car today...
modded the l61 coilpack and the lsj coil cover opened up the blower phenolic spacer and installed the mtech short shifter linkage I started to cut up the driver's side axle in an attempt to be able to split the case on the trans but I ran out of cutoff wheels.

welp cutting corners on my original LSD install came back to bite me in the ass...
issue has been remedied for reinstall... beveled the inner gears so the c-clips on the axles will now compress when trying to remove. also got the cps bracket realigned and the sensor installed

LOL! I’ll see what I can do. I didn’t built the bracket, just using it for the external trigger.
