Dude. Thats total BS.. and BTW.. Its not ILLEGAL to have aftermarket parts.From the emissions and inspections standpoint your Decible level has to be under 90 Db to be legal ( which is doable) and HIDs ARE legal provided your manufacturer sells them on thier stock vehicles. I would suggest going to sema's page and checking out thier commitee for the statute.Then Contact them and see if they cant give you mre info that you could use in court.

Get the correct range HID's. 10,000K is way high and is asking to get pulled over anyway. They are so blue/purple at that point, that it will piss off any cop you pass. Go for a lower range and I bet you won't have any problems.

As for the exhaust, just seems like the cop was a dick and didn't like you.

Also, do you have the HID projectors? Or do you just have the HID bulb in a regular socket?

If your going to run some HID's atleast get some 4300K range bulbs and it won't be as blue.

i have the PA statues book. the exhaust i illegal. BUT isnt in the same right.
Modifying the factory exhaust system is legal as long as it exits out of the passenger cabin. Loudness is illegal. BUT the inspection law is anything under 93db. Here's the kicker. the cop is supposed to be trained using his/her hearing on determining the "loudness" of said exhaust and ticket accordingly.

I have to look at the book again, but its mostly what I just said.

The headlights are illegal regarding the color and light beam pattern.
the HIDS you put in are not a focused beam pattern like other cars that coe with them from the factory. BUT if you tone down the kelvin temp to a more eye friendly level such as a 4800 or 5000 you should be fine

HID's are illegal in any car that does not come with them from the factory.

And as far as I know a cop is allowed to give a ticket out for exhaust based on his own judgement. He's not required to test the decibals.

change them out, take the car to the police station ask to talk to that cop show him you changed them, and guarantee you he will drop the ticket!

93db is pretty freakin loud...i have a decibal meter if you want me to test it for you if you goto the meet today i can bring that **** and prove the cop wrong.

i was just doing the speen limit in traffic. i just am gonna switch em out. i just dont understand why he had to give me a hard time at all, pretty gay if you ask me. theres people speeding around, drunk driving, and being assholes and hes gotta **** with me

thanks for the offer, but the fine is just for the lights so the exhaust isnt an issue, and its not as loud as it usually is cuz of the hole in my flex joint...

On my way to Philly last week I got pulled over by a PA state trooper.

He was in front of me, then tried to be slick and let me pass him, but I didn't. He then pretended to get off an off ramp and then shot back on the highway behind me. He pulled me over and said my headlights were too bright and they were blinding him. I said, well sir im sorry, but if you are having problems with my headlights blinding you maybe you should call Subaru. Honestly, he didn't give me anything because I just said they are stock, not rhd jdm headlights and 6500k HID's, but how the **** would he know?

Just lie next time bro, it's soo easy. lol

its 93 dB at 3,000 rpm or something...

I have a borla and they are pretty deep and they are rated at 89 dB...

There are a ton of cars running around MUCH louder than me...

I think I'm over the 93db level and haven't got yelled at once. Put yeah getting pulled over for **** like that sucks. All your trying to do is make the car nice and cops think your out racing or causing trouble when there is like you said tons of people out there drinking and driving.

i hope he knows that ornamental are lights that are up but not used. like certain cars have ornamental fog lamps that aren't used but are jus for show.
