Virus on Tst?

This is what I got from my avast twice in the last few minutes when clicking to the forum menu. I also visit clubwrx here and there and know they were having the same types of problems. Just figured I'd let you know since I'm sure more people will be getting these.

No virus' have popped up from my anti-virus, but sometimes when I click on the "forums" link on the TST homepage it won't load (It's random and other sites still function normally). As far as Clubwrx, I avoid it now because everytime I click on a clubwrx link my computer freezes and it takes a good few minutes to get everything back under control.

Google has a nice checker for this situation. I wish they had one of these for girls!
http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/d...tatetuners.com

It appears that google says it is ok. It may be that a language such as flash that sets off a virus on your computer. That would explain every time you come to tst, you are warned of a virus. Maybe I can help you guys if you would like but I would need to see av logs or exact alerts and what av software you are using. I would also need to know the OS and if it is 100% patched. Just PM me if you want some help.

If anyone doesn't have an up to date Anti-virus program I suggest installing Avast or AVG. Both have free editions that seem to do a great jobs. They also don't kill your computers performance like Norton and Mcafee do. Oddly enough most of my clients machines I remove infections off of, have the most up to date Norton/Mcafee installed on them....

I am currently running Avast and it picked up on the TST/Google virus automatically for me.

I would run a speed test on your internet connection to see if your speed has dropped. Is it only TST? How are your other websites running speed wise. You may want to try clearing our your browser cache also.

Speed test: http://www.speedtest.net/

However Windows Vista, Macafee and internet explorer is going to net you the slowest response vs other options out there.

If you can try to downgrade your machine to Windows XP or upgrade to Windows 7. Windows Vista is the slowest newer operating systems out there..

Is your computer a company brand? If it is, some you can use the restore disk from another Dell or Hp, etc and downgrade to XP for free.

Macafee is known to slow down computer systems especially ones with limited memory. You should also check to make sure its not setup to do a normal virus scan at like 12 noon.. so silly. I would suggest downloading Avast or AVG. Both are free and run great.

Also try downloading and running Mozilla Firefox. It has been known to be more reponsive vs Internet explorer
