Bringing this home tomorrow. Rust free, 3.2L 24v swapped late model sedan, fresh paint, almost the entire car was rebuilt. Was going to help a buddy sell it but ended up buying it. I'll probably offer it for sale here soon. It's got all of the goodies.

TST is the beginnings of my support group. I'm really quite bad at saying no to good deals. Once I drove this car today with the HP + the solidity of the car, I knew I at least had to own it for a little while.

Shipman, honestly this may be the E30 for you. It's very, very nice and complete with all the small stuff, including a fully converted AC system with custom lines.

Exactly- a support group that's low in number and struggles with the same issue that I do- I am effectively bringing a case of beer to an AA meeting every time I buy another E30 and add to my ever growing member journal

I will say, I think it's fun to color my purchases with a shade of spontaneity and irresponsibility but I do have a plan *most* of the time. The majority of these projects (outside of Linda) are leading up to me building the M3.

It looks like this now. Came from WA originally, 98% rust free, manual, fully loaded from '88 (sport interior, manual, premium sound, mtech steering wheel, Map light rear view mirror iS lip and spoiler, pop out rear windows, and a few other things), dealer maintained. I did a suspension refresh (H&R/Bilstein, M3 CABs, endlinks, upper strut mounts, etc), put a ported head and split duration cam in it, cleaned it up and fixed all of the small stuff that was wrong with it like trim clips, gaskets, shifter linkage, window switches, seat mechanisms, etc. Anything that is iX or E30 prone to break or rust is in awesome shape on this one (strut housings, front axles, transfer case viscous coupling, rear diff viscous coupling, front differential, control arms, steering rack, etc).

The wheels are 11.6lb 15x8 et36 6ULs with new DZ102 tires in 205/55.

The bad: clear coat is peeling on the passenger side and roof. The trade off coming from arid eastern WA is clear coat peel vs rust.
