these are two pictures that give a good size difference of the wheel that someone else took, stock vs 57 trim

machine shop says that my head has cracks in it and is not salvageable so the build is on a little bit of a hold till i get another one which shouldn't take too long

ok so i asked driftmotion if they had a 7m-gte head just to see, worst case they wouldn't have one, and what do you know they have one that has been rebuilt and machined to a low ra already for a great price being that its already rebuilt and machined to a low ra (im only playing for the machine work that was done)
only negative is that the shims are mixed up or not put in the correct locations (shoudn't be a big deal at all)

a little update:
the head from driftmotion was taken over to the machine shop by my mechanic, i didn't inspect the head since it was packaged pretty well and i didn't want to mess it up or not be able to get it back in the box so i just took it up to the shop that way, turns out there were no shims even in the head, weird (was supposed to be a fully rebuilt head resurfaced and with shims just the shims were mixed up) everything else was good and i probably needed new shims or some from my old head anyway so thats no big deal machine work that was done and is finished: decked block bore and hone 6 cylinders clean block balance rotating assembly polish and clean crank disassemble head adjust valves, polish cams, clean, ect. and reassemble r&r core plugs everything will be back to the shop tomorrow and then reassembly can start while thats being done im taking a ride over to a place that does powder and ceramic coating to have all my exhaust stuff ceramic coated (driftmotion ceramic coated the hot side of the turbo while doing the 57 trim upgrade)
