Who? The car company or the person that CAUSED THE ACCIDENT. It's not the car companies fault somebody decided to smash thier car into someone else.

EDIT: Either way work comp will pay for the medical and injuries. did you know if your personal vehicle breaks on a company related trip you can use work comp for it? Last edited by driftingeric2k4; 08-23-2006 at 08:25 AM. |

So yeah, airbags not being deployed on a hit like that = problems, specially if you are hurt. My ex had her bags go off from a much minor hit. |

My stepdad's airbags didnt go off in his Hyundai when he hit a tree doing 50. Luckily, he walked away with only minor pains.
By the looks of it, it should have went off. Do you know where the airbag sensors are in that truck?

My old Hyundai that my brother wrecked. Main impact was passenger side rear (spun 180 off road into a rock emankment. Secondary impact was front driver side as it finished the rotation and hit another embankment. Airbags also did not deploy. I'm still paying this damn car off.

it should have, but..... It seems like the collision had enough impact time to decelerate properly. Look at how much the hood crunched up. I dunno how fast you were going, but it seems like the car crunched enough to not need to deploy the airbag.

Were you injured by them not deploying? If not, then be thankful they didnt deploy.
Maybe the sensors are more sophisticated now then just "certain mph = pop".

I just get fed up with people taking things for granted. We expect TV to censor itself so that we don't have to teach our children, and we expect car manufacturers to build safe cars in order to negate our mistakes. If an airbag inflated without reason and killed a person then that would be a valid complaint, but airbags don't cause car crashes. Money Money Money.

Its not always our mistakes though. I have almost been hit on my motorcycle 6 times. Not a single time was that my mistake. Besides, if manufacturers are going to go around touting how safe their vehicles are, then they need to back it up. It's just the nature of the beast. Suing fast food chains becuause your fat is a little extreme however |

I looks like they DEFINATLY should of.
The front bumper-gard is all warped (where the sensors are to begin with...right) and the body in the bay (where the struts are) are warped to HELL. DEFINATLY had enough vibrating force to set them off...now you gotta find out why they didn't...
