'99 Rolla, nothing fancy, pg. 3

that's right, ToyotaTat, the kid w/ the fastest and most JDM car on TST, has finally done a journal of my piece!

my HUGE mod list:
Engine
drop-in k&n air filter. i think i got about a 5000hp gain from it. and that's it. nothing else on the engine.
Exterior
custom Maaco paint job, black w/ the metallic flake
eagle alloy wheels
O.E.M. styled driving/fog lights
TST license plate frame (yea, that's on my mod list, it's ballin so shut your mouth)

got the car in November of '05 just before getting my license after deciding that i didn't want to drive a Geo Metro w/ a 3cyl. engine and a whoppin 55hp engine, it was just too fast. my dad had a friend who was selling this so i snagged it. 1990 Toyota Camry LE w/ it's 100% stock 4cyl and 138,000 at the time of purchase.
(i'm not a photographer. i don't know anything about photography nor do i care too much for it. if you don't like the style or quailty of my Kodak EasyShare pictures then feel free to come on over to my house and take some "real" pictures.)

lucky for me, it was a rusted

sent it out to Maaco for the body work, and while it was there i had my ballin ass 14" Eagle Alloy wheels put on,

which then had the cam' lookin like this

i just realized ^ the last pic above is photchopped, i'm not clear cornered although i'd like to be

over the summer i had the sound system done, nothing special, a cheap Panasonic head unit, new front speakers (infinity kappa series 3 1/2")

mtx sub, 12" Thunder 4500, and a no-name 600watt amp

recently replaced the panasonic head unit w/ a brand new Pioneer and added on the Samsung Nexus XM player, which i love.

over the summer i removed the TOYOTA badging from the grill, and then esunbaboon and i did a photoshoot (photos were done by him)

then about a month or so ago i picked up a set of generic O.E.M. styled lights and mounted those on, all that leading to what many TST members have referred to as the Pimp Camry, the pimpmobile, the tatmobile, etc. to look like this as it sits today now w/ 151,000 on it.

i don't expect to much more to it, mainly because as of now there isn't anything left to do that's worth the money.

5000hp damn son i hope you got a full cage D:

looks good and tasteful, maaco did a great job ! it's a shame people think they do crappy work, i guess people don't understand just because they offer a 99 dollar paint job it doesn't mean they don't have really awesome ones too

the paint itself isn't bad, but the body work sucks donkey balls, even though you can't see it in the pics. maaco had cost about $1000 for the body work and paint together

do a junkyard turbo setup on that baby, nothing big just enough to get a pound or two of boost. wouldnt even need an intercooler and you could add fuel via a saab cold start 5th injector wired up to a pressure switch

that would add what? 10hp? not worth spending the money on it. just throw in a badass system and call it a day.

most engines make around 6-7 hp per psi (conservative) consider that most wastegates are set for at least 5 psi and you are looking at 30-35 ponies maybe more and a decent boost in low end tq. all for about the same amount of money as a cold air intake. the engine should also become more efficient in non wot travel burning fewer dinosaurs
