Went to IMPO Performance in Warminster, PA on Friday to meet up with some other CSRT4 members and get the car dynoed. I brought my camera and shot a little vignette: http://www.vimeo.com/10337944

I don't trust that shop at all after all the stories i heard and after the one time i dealt with them but would have def liked to of seen some cars on the dyno on a beautiful day like today.

I don't know anything about the shop or it's employees. Another owner set up the dyno meet there. Do you care to divulge your negative experience?

Over the years I've heard a lot of personal bad stories about the place. To many to count or remember specifics anymore to be honest. Only one friend out of many who went there was actually happy and he said the owner Sav worked on his car not. I don't feel like typing my story but if your really interested i could send it to you. I just wouldn't let them work on my car or touch it. I'm sure they have different workers there then last time I dealt with them or any friends used them but once bad word spreads its tough to regain a places trust.
Either way, your vid was awesome, and it looked like you guys had a great time. In the end thats all that counts. It is a good thing to know that they have a dyno close in the area if anything ever popped up.

Thanks everyone- it was a 5DmkII with the new 24p firmware update. It was shot with a 24-70 2.8L lens. I prefer my primes but I like the usable range of this piece for run n' gun shooting.

I have never used a DSLR for shooting video before so excuse my question if it sounds dumb. But how do you operate focus while shooting with MKII? It does not Autofocus correct? So are you constantly having to manually spin the control ring when shooting in shallow ap.?

Man the canon is such a badass camera. Even makes dynoing a hideous car look good.

But what really pissed me off is it makes all my high end sony cameras look like pieces of ****.

Yes it carries quite a learning curve, however I've been doing video professionally for 10 years and usually shoot in all manual on my standard HDV cameras anyway.

Once you are able to control the camera manually well you can get some really astounding imagery out of it.

What are you calling "high end" Sony cameras? What's holding you back- the new Canon T2i produces similar imagery and is only $700. Just make sure you aren't a novice and/or amateur shooter because you'll have nothing but shaky, out of focus imagery from it.
