Subaru Impreza 1.8L mods?

I have a 93 subaru Impreza L with a 1.8L Front-wheel drive... Sad i know, but the car was free... I wanna get some bang out of this thing, i dont have the money for a swap like i wanted. Any pointers on what i can do? Ive already installed a Cold-Air Intake, full exhaust, smaller pulleys, and high performance belts, anything else i can do?

Drive down hill and draft trucks on the highway haha. Because its not going too be fast why not make it corner and brake well upgrade too some wrx brakes , heavier swaybars, adjustable shocks and springs . At that point it will be fun too drive even if it is slow from a stop

X2 on the suspension and braking parts. You can even go with WRX stuff (cheap as hell!) if you dont want to drop coin on after market parts.

WRX Rear sway bar (not sure if the wrx front fits non turbo, I know the cross member is different)
fender braces
wrx brakes
a good spring/strut combo
short shifter
shifter bushings
wheels/wider tires

That should get you a very fun to drive car. The 1.8 is one of Subaru's most reliable motors. Run it until it dies, but I'm betting the body rusts out first.

Harrys U pull it in Pensburg has 2.5L all the time also you can swap in a AWD trans and drive line too, but its only worth it if your current body is mint or you get a full swap car and go turbo swap.

The body has minor dings and stuff from basketballs hitting it. And just one minor rust spot (my palm is bigger than the spot) I would like to do the AWD swap but i have no idea how to do that. I'll check harrys and try to find some stuff...

There really is no reason to do power mods to your car. Brakes, suspension, tires and even maybe some body mods will be fine. Other then that you'd just be wasting money for power because you're not really going to get much. Keep it how it is or save and swap.

Boosting the 1.8 could be fun. Plenty of people have done it. Then again at that point why not just swap.

As for the bolded I'm confused why you typed save for a 22b?

Ah well let me correct you then. lol. The 22b is a very rare model and obviously you know what it looks like. A safe thing to call them are Gc8's. And you already have one.
