Blown Taurus SHO
Here some pics and a vid first starting it. Enjoy First start!!! Here the nice intake. The charge pipes run right over the VC/oil cap and are black. Not pictured but just an FYI. haha Last edited by Blackonblack89; 02-16-2010 at 11:47 PM. |

Engine wise its a stock 3.2 swapped SHO (3.0 stock) with just a y-pipe, UDP, and 2.5" exhaust. I want to ditch the fidanza flyweel and Clucth master stg 1 clutch for a CM stage 3 clutch and go back to a stock steel Flywheel. It has all the other goodies too..... big brakes, springs/struts, ALSFB, MM's ect. Honeslty I forget some of the stuff done. Body is the same cept for the fiberglass plus hood. The supercharger is a V2 T-trim and it was part of an old SHO shop superchager kit. Back in the 90's SS is long gone now LOL. Basically just bigger injectors, 80mm Mark 8 maf, and the SHO shop piping. (cant really see it). Last edited by Blackonblack89; 06-04-2009 at 05:49 PM. |

Also I took it around the block today. 2nd gear is nuts. 1st is useless. 2nd it runs threw the RPM's 3000 and it jumped to 6k. I had a huge grin on my face. lol Can't wait to wind it out. Still have another 2k to go!!!!!.
Here are some pics after the paint job and when it was N/A. Charlisle 08 All ford nationals. (going this year too) Its this weekend...can't wait. 18x8 Team dynamics wrapped in 245/40/18. Last edited by Blackonblack89; 06-04-2009 at 05:57 PM. |

An 89 is a highway monster stock. I can only imagine what you could take down now. I never knew much (if any) about them until I worked with 2 or 3 of them and a good friend bought one. They're beastly.

I dont think I ever posted any good pics of the motor all done and cleaned up
No upgrades as of the late but I did hit atco a few times in the summer and fall. LOL @ this. Best time N/A was 14.34@98. My best ET now is 14.00@104. (5psi) with a horrid 2.4 and freaking 100* track temps. (no charge cooling so I limited boost) Best trap so far is 14.1@106.8 (7psi) Still bad 60's. about 70* IIRC yay .3 tenth improvemt but almost 8mph trap in speeds with lots of room to improvement. Lets just say this car is not built for drag racing!!! LOL Anyways plans for the future is an upgrade to a 3.4 or 3.33 pulley. Also with the added boost, charge cooling will be addressed with a Water/Air intercooler setup. And after that I just wanna get this thing tuned properly and really extract the power and reliabilty. I am already tempting fate with the tranny, but it should be fun to beat GT500's and C6Z06 after said mods. I also want to clean the engine bay up more. Like the couplers, P/S resivoir, and polish the BOV, MAF, ect. Pics Last edited by Blackonblack89; 02-17-2010 at 06:42 PM. |

Very, very cool. SHO's are up there with GVR-4s for the coolest sleepers that ever made it Stateside. Glad to see someone still messing with these things.

I saw pictures of this posted on shoforum and potentially taurusclub as well last summer I think. It easily in my top 3 favorite SHOs. So clean and completely badass.
