* The What Did You Smoke Today Thread ? *

lets try and keep it to legal things ;)

Not many people know that I'm a huge Cigar aficionado, I've seen a few similar threads on other forums do well, but figured it would be cool to see who likes what help shed some insight, knowledge or even share some cigars with fellow members.

Some of my favorites and what my Humidor consists of

Rocky Patel 92
Griffin Robusto
Romeo y Julieta
CAO Moontrance (for some flavor)
Montecristo no. 4
Ashton VSG
La Gloria - Series R
Don Pepin Garcia My Father
Cohiba Siglo III

So just picked up some more Cohiba's

#3s by Steve Nawrocki, on Flickr

Couple of my office humidor, I know still not as stocked up as I'd like. I have a lot more but ones I save/store.

Just got back from a little vacation in FL, so had a few different nights.

Had 2 Cohiba Siglo IIIs,
an Oliva V
an Ashton
and 2 Griffens (not pictured)

So what have you had recently? Enjoying today/tonight or stocking up on?

So happy theres a cigar thread. I've been smoking cigars for years now. One of my favorite go-to sticks is the Perdomo Habano Connecticut. In my various humidors at home i am probably stocking and aging somewhere around 350-400 sticks.

I hope that zippo in the pictures is just there for the shots, and you're not actually lighting your smokes with it. (unless you use a different insert)

For someone who knows nothing about cigars whatsoever... why wouldn't you light one with a zippo? Isn't fire just fire? Maybe the slight taste of the fuel mixed in?

Nice!! I actually just had a Perdoma Reserve 10th Anniversary tuesday, such an awesome smoke for the money. I enjoyed every inch of it.

And no the zippo I haven't used in years it was a freebie, I use either wood matches or my butane.

Zippos use lighter fluid which have a taste and doesn't help the taste of the cigar. Butane doesn't have a taste and is preferred, or wood matches (once the wood is lit)

It is the lighter fluid that can hinder the flavor of a cigar. Use matches as it is natural burning wood versus fuel.

What they said.. LOL.

And if we're going to keep it legal, you might want to take down the pics of the Cohibas..... unless of course they're pre-embargo

I used to have a cigar every once in a while, just for fun with my friends, before I ever started smoking cigarettes. Now that I smoke cigarettes though, I don't enjoy cigars as much because its like 2nd hand nature for me to inhale. I spend more time coaching myself in my head not to inhale it, than I do enjoying it. I suck.

quick smoking those nasty cigarettes then and have a cigar every so often.

Yesterday I had a delicious Rocky Patel Winter Collection 2012. It was sitting in my humidor for a few months, I wanted to leave it in longer, but just had an urge to smoke it.

And glad I did. What a great blend,

I got a bunch of Alec Bradley Black Market sticks to give away at the craft beer event I had at my cigar shop. Havent smoked it yet, but might today. Had a Perdomo Patriarch the other day, and it was fantastic. Followed the Patriarch up with an Illusione MJ.

I just turned 18 and really no one I know smokes cigars. Can someone explain to me how or why certain types of cigars are illegal?

Correct, they're illegal, unless they're pre-embargo.

While at the shop today i smoked a Perdomo Habano Connecticut and a LFD Air Bender. Both great smokes, but the LFD really turned into a power house after the first inch.

Wish I had a humidor, My mom brought home a whole box of cubans from the Dominican Republic I smoked a couple but a lot went stale, such a shame. I'm only eighteen but I've been smoking for a few years now and am trying to quit but I will always enjoy a nice cigar.

Is it still illegal if you buy a Cuban while visiting another country, Germany for example, and then bring it back to the USA with you?
