Hanging Idle?

So I've had this hanging idle problem for a couple weeks.
I'll be driving the car at 2k rpms in third, and when i put the car in neutral and coast to a light it stays at 2k rpms until I blip the throttle..

I'm thinking IACV or TPS. Just wanted some input before I start getting parts.

I tool the IACV off the other day and cleaned it, so if that's the case then it's bad. Just wondering why i'm not throwing a check engine light.

I 'was' throwing a CEL for the TPS a bit ago, just haven't gotten around the replacing it.

Your throttle body could be sticking as well.

Are there any other symptoms happening? Bogging/hesitation, etc?

TPS,or a sticky cable. Clean out the intake and go from there.

Yeah, I had everything off the other day. Maybe I'll get into it tonight, take everything back apart. I've yet to do the TPS because I can't find Bryan's dremel.. But I cleaned the IACV and the throttle body. I have another IACV lying around I can throw on it and see how it works.
Any recommendations on cleaning the intake?

Take the closest strong vac line to the manifold(Usually right near the runners) and have someone help you seafoam it,the stuff that comes out is down right amazing.

If you have or know someone with a multi meter, check TPS voltage. May not be calibrated right

On Honda's - we just use the PCV valve that goes between the valve cover and intake manifold. Feeding the seafoam into the intake manifold portion.

It's advised to do an oil change afterwards though.

lol thanks, but i'm strongly against seaoaming.. I've heard horror stories!
But I was messing with the throttle cable the other day, and it may be a tad too tight. I had the throttle body off to put a new TPS on.. but again couldn't find the dremel. So just cleaned everything up

I actually have two, the TPS has been in and out on my car, I have one to replace it.. Just with the move and everything else that's going on.. We just got the garage situated. So that's my next step! I think the TPS would make the idle jump all around, I'm not sure if it sticks or not, but could definitely be a problem.

Only horror stories I hear are people who run it in their oil too long. Never anything about cleaning the intake with it.

If you're against sea foam id still get a brush and some throttle body cleaner, and maybe a 3 step kit from your local parts store.

lol you're correct it does! and It even come with most D series, but I have a d15b. so just a itty bit different. but thank you for you input.

I think I've just tighten the cable a bit too much, going to play with it when the car cools down and see how it acts.

Another thing, takes the car a sec to even initiate a turn over. As in:I turn the key and there's no response for a second or two then it turns over fine, it's like delayed.

Starter relay? Does the pump kick right on when you turn the key?
