Agressive driver pushed me off the road

I was driving behind a 2002-2006 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD Diesel.
License plate # was personalized : "2-SHOER"
Color: White or Beige.

Because of the large amount of fumes and black smoke coming out the back of his truck and into my car, my asthma started acting up.

So I decided to pass him before the 2 lane road turned into a single lane road so I don't get stuck in his exhaust smoke.

I successfully passed him about 100 feet before it turned into a single lane road. I did not cut him off. I was about 3-4 car lengths ahead of him when I switched lanes to drive in front of him.

He then floored it and pulled up next to me right as the 2 lanes were converging to 1 lane. And he pushed me off into the oncoming traffic.

The front of his truck was about directly next to my side mirror and he was inches from my car continually turning left right into me forcing me to the left and threatening to hit my car. I braked and let him take the lane because I knew he did not care if he hit my car with his truck. He was being very aggressive. I saw his face in his side mirror as I let him in front. He was shaking his head at me and I read his lips dropping the F-bomb.

I think this guy has problems and should get some kind of punishment. Angry people should not drive.

My question is, If I report this to the police, will they actually do anything about it? Since I don't have video proof or the license plate # of the witnesses that were driving around us.
