I agree. Every time I want to replace a part or do regular maintenance, I have the worst luck. Sheared Bolts, bad threads, rusted parts that refuse to come off, broken sockets and ratchets, cracking hoses when trying to remove something else, bruises, dropping bolts and screws in the engine bay, etc.

I want to take a break from working on cars for a while. But I still plan to eventually buy an older car and restore/prep it for autox or rally once I buy a house with a garage.
