Temp/hiring agencys are mostly jokes. I got a few calls from them and each interview I went to I found out that it was nothing like the said it was.
Salary was based on working overtime/weekends/holidays, the job itself wasn't even close to what they told me it would be, the company after I Googled them after the interview had so much bad stuff about them it wasn't funny.
I've stopped wasting my time. Even though I'm not where I want to be, its hard to even apply for jobs anymore with the amonut of crap you have to go through. I don't see any reason why I should have to give my SSN and personal info out if I am not offered a position. All they should need is my resume and phone number and go from there.
