shorter grip=pinky extension (as shown in pics). I can shoot this little gun more accurately (faster) than any full size gun I have shot (including my brother's hk .40, a kimber, a glock 19, a 17, and a BUNCH of other guns). It's an AWESOME gun. Go to target world and rent it if you are 21. I literally rented close to 20 guns before I made my first hand gun purchase. Hands down, the 26 won (closely by the 27, but I liked the 9mm better).

Obviously, I love the 26 and would rec. it to ANYONE. DEFINATELY give it a test at the range to make sure YOU like it. If it isn't comfortable to you, you won't like it. However, you won't know untill you try it.

If you are 21, I need to go to the range soon anyway. I would be more than willing to let you give it a try if you are in my area.

Bought this Beauty and a Beretta 92FS 9mm before my first car. Local gun shop called Eagle Fire arms got a crate of them in and it was first ome, first serve. I got the only wood stock AK from Russia (Not china) in the box :)

$499 with clips/ sling/ bayonett/ and bipod.

The AK-47 (Russian: Автомат Калашникова образца 1947 года, Avtomat Kalashnikova 1947) is a gas-operated assault rifle designed by Mikhail Kalashnikov, produced by Russian manufacturer Izhevsk Mechanical Works and used in many Eastern bloc nations during the Cold War. It was adopted and standardized in 1947[2]. Compared with the auto-loading rifles used in World War II, the AK-47 was generally more compact, with a shorter range, a smaller 7.62 × 39 mm cartridge, and was capable of selective fire. It was one of the first true assault rifles and remains the most widely used. The AK-47 and its numerous variants and descendants have been produced in greater numbers than any other assault rifle and are in production to this day.[3]

I would love to buy a gun for recreational use on a shooting range (there is one close) but I don't even know where to start. Handgun would be preffered but then again I don't want to own one illegally. Can you own rifles before 21?

Raven18940 09-03-2006 07:03 PM

Yes

All I've got is a double barrel 12 gauge, and it's pretty old and beat up. :P

PotenzaSub 09-03-2006 07:08 PM

wait a sec....you guys actually have guns? The laws in PA must be lax as hell b/c my bro (former army ranger) tried to get a gun in NY but he couldnt!

What do you guys need glocks for anway?

Drftpretty 09-03-2006 07:08 PM

I was able to write mine off on my taxes :)

Protection when I bought my first house 2 years ago :)

yes you can own a rifle or shotgun when you are 18. Handguns are 21 (in PA). DONT mess with having someone older buy you the hangun before you are 21, I think they passed a law where you can get 10 years in jail for buying for a non-legal resident. I wouldn't mess with uncle sam on that one. Just wait until you are 21!!!

what do we need them for? FUN! and self protection. That subcompact glock is aslo known as the fecalator-- One look and a would-be assailant $hits him or herself.

Getting a concealed carry permit in Chester County is easier than getting a drivers liscence.

For driving in south philly and trenton. :) I'm seriously buying a gun before I go back to capitol health next summer. .357 magnum, only handgun designed to go through car doors and such.

Yes, PA gun laws are as lax as is federally allowed. :)
