DIY section?

I know there are some good write ups and vids out there to help out us guys who aren't super proficient at doin all the tech stuff. I know we have some sticky's in the different tech sections for some stuff but i was thinkin maybe a whole section comitted to DIY tutorials and videos for the basics and some of the advanced stuff (within reason). Just a thought to put it all in one place for ease of finding them and so people can easily contribute their own write ups and vids. Maybe even do some official TST write ups and/or videos. Just a suggestion.

btw thanks for the forum and keep up the good work!

On my other mopar forums we have what we call the Knowledge Base that is seperated into sub-categories for like engine, exterior, interior, and other write-ups. I think this a great idea

I think just a General DIY section for general car tech that applies to any make/model, like brakes, lights, steering wheel, seats, basic fluids, etc...
the basics for the beginners

We have an entire section of the site dedicated to every area of the car and then make specific forums. Any DIY you could think of would fit into those sections, or if you run across a really good one on the intrawebz, post it and we can stick it in the appropriate section.

Lol yeah.. I brought this up to Bryan a couple months ago and we went through the individual car sections and they pretty much sticky any DIY orrr it's the only things that are posted in the sections ha.

If it was a car or make specific site it would work, but TST is way too broad and in my eyes its more of a social site. Why come here and search for something you may not find when you can go to a car specific forum(that your likely a member of anyway) and find what you need?

Sublime1304 02-17-2011 02:02 PM

Well you could post general car things. Doesn't have to be specific

I think we could expand the forum by copying and pasting DIY post from other forums (given original forum and user credit of course) that you have found helpful.
