What Did You Do To Your Mazda Today!!!

Like the title says, Post about what you did to your mazda, either fixing it or adding parts.

I'll Start. I am fixing the Carbon Fiber Trunk, because I couldn't get the keyhole cover thing on right, I think I got it this time :)

most reacent:

Was installing my fuel pump internals and and when i put the pump back in I screwed it in too tight, and when i took it out again the bolt just snapped, so i had to take out the assembly that holds the cam follower and fuel pump and drill out the bolts. Bought new gasket since gas just ate the old one alive and got a new bolt from mazda, and now its alive again :D

I replaced my oil pressure gauge line that ran from the sensor to the gauge.
Damn thing was brittle, no wonder I thought my oil pump was dying lol, at 3k revs it shows im at 30psi and like 10 psi at idle. Once I changed the wire, it shows 45psi at 3k and 30psi at idle. Should be 60+psi at 3k. I need to get a new eshaft thermal pellet, I think mines is stuck shut and not feeding oil to the rotors......

I'm waiting to get my Samurai back from my friend who is borrowing it, then the Rx-7 is finally getting all fixed!

Solenoid replacement and relocation to side of engine bay.
Emissions block off plates.
Air pump removal, new pulleys, smaller belt.
Trans and rear fluid change with redline.
FINALLY put my new speakers in and possibly begin fabbing the rear for a sub(gonna be a bitch :( )

Think thats all im doing...I'm sure there is more that needs to be done.

im guessin the cai is no good from that remark...
im currently running a modded airbox with kn.. had to grab an intake to clear for fmic piping...

MStempted 03-27-2009 10:08 PM

only CAI good on this car is CPE, dont get me wrong MS CAI is ok. And Injen is complete garbage, IMO short ram is the way to go since it is available now, that being said I would choose CPE over COBB since CPE can be coupled to 3" inlet, and cobb ( complete silicon ) is made to bolt up to stock inlet which is around 2.5"

amp 03-27-2009 10:11 PM

arent they all the same.... saw both and didnt notice anything other than a slight difference in location for the maf..
figured id grab the ms cai for warranty purposes... since im still under the umbrella..

MStempted 03-27-2009 10:13 PM

one thing i've noticed on the car is that the best place to put MAF on the intake for this car is 3" away from filter (before bends obviously)

MStempted 03-27-2009 10:16 PM

BTW MS CAI is made by AEM I believe

Outlawstar98 03-30-2009 07:28 PM

Carbon Fiber Pillar overlays, and Carbon Fiber E-Brake surround installed :P

also put on a black Mazdas247.com Vinyl on my rear window :) no one can even see it HAHAH
