"Thanks to a Utah convenience store's contest, Frito-Lay truck driver David Dopp won another set of wheels last Saturday: this lime-green, 631-hp Lamborghini Murcielago LP-640, worth at least $200,000. Such an awesome car that will...oops, he already wrecked it.
Just a few hours after getting the keys to the V-12 powered Italian supercar named for a famed Spanish fighting bull, Dopp took to the roads around his home in Santaquin, Utah. According to In Santaquin News, police were called about dusk after a witness spotted the all-wheel-drive Lambo bass-ackwards in a field, with skidmarks from where it left the road.

Dopp -- who had apparently already taken one call from the local police about takin' it easy before going off-road -- says he was going about 40 mph to 50 mph on a 35-mph road when he hit a patch of what he called black ice or gravel. The police report says the car went over a curb, off the road and 75 feet into the field, calling the accident "speed related."

The Murcielago is now bound for Las Vegas, where mechanics will calculate a repair estimate on the busted oil pan and damaged bumper. Dopp, who has insurance, says the day was "an emotional roller coaster." If you mess with a bull, don't be surprised when you get the horns."

If I won that I would sell it and save the money, or keep it in the garage and not put any miles on it and sell it 5 to 10 years down the road.

idiot! lets drive my newly 200k sports car in an area that already has snow on the ground.

"I'm a truck driver. Used to driving big rigs and going slow. So when I got a 600HP+ Super Car I go super cited, forgetting about the snow still on the ground. Now my 200,000$ car is in the dirt somewhere off the road. Will you be ready when Mayhem strikes... Like me."

His insurance company must be ready to strangle someone. Only hours after getting the thing insured they will be shelling out thousands upon thousands of dollar to get the thing fixed.

Winter tires and I'd be set haha, what a dumb ass!!

Proven 12-21-2011 02:38 PM

I think just about everyone in here would of taken the car for a spin regardless of the weather/road conditions. If not, check your pants for a penis, there might not be one. Accidents happen! Even professional racers have them.

Me, I would of beat the crap out of the Tacky looking thing then sold it

Zdrummer15 12-21-2011 03:57 PM

As painful as it would be to, I would sell it to if it were mine as well. I'd probably buy a pretty nice car with some of the money though because I wouldn't be able to stand giving up such an amazing car just to pay off debt or whatever. I'd probably pick up a nice used 911 Turbo or something more affordable and practical and then use the rest wisely. I would of course do as others said and drive the crap out of the Lambo first though. I still don't think I would've been dumb enough to do this when there was ice and snow on the roads.

92accordex 12-21-2011 04:06 PM

you people make it seem like he won the lambo then thought to himself "hm where is snow and blackice I can go speed on and bang out?" I doubt he did that. It was an accident lol tst quick to call someone out all the time

Scapegoat 12-21-2011 04:10 PM

most of you jokers probably would have ended up dead in a ditch in that thing

Hi, I do not know if Jay sees these post but I have a problem on my hands. I know that Jay is a big car guy. I recently won a 2008 Lamborghini 2DR ROADSTER
Verde Ithaca. The stupid government wants around $100,000 dollars in taxes and so I am forced to sell it to pay the taxes. Plus as a father of six It is a very impractical car. I was wondering if anyone knew where the best place was to sell it? Thank you for any help that can be given. Sincerely David
