I believe the new regulation is that a cage is required for 11.5 and under. Don't quote me on that though.

My question would be, how would you know if you just finished building your car and everything and it's the first time running it? If you don't know that it's gonna run that time and it does, they just won't let you run again or what?

Impressive times out of the stock turbo.

As for the new NHRA rule, it is 11.49 or faster for a roll bar in non-convertable car. Generally you get one pass faster and they will warn you or ask you not to come back until you have a roll bar. However, since it is a SAFETY item, the smart thing to do when building a car like that would be to put all the required safety items in ahead of time.

I think as soon as you run the 11.5 without the cage they boot you off the track til you get one installed. Or so my uncle says with his friends who race VeeDubs.
