car ads?

Has anyone tried putting ads on their car for business? I know tons of companies put logos and their phone number on the side, but I'm wondering how effective it would actually be. It's so intangible. People would see your vehicle sitting in traffic, but do they actually remember it and call later when they need your service?

Yeah, I had my liquidation company's name, phone, and address on the side of my old truck. I already had business coming in though, so I'm not sure what calls came from that. What company are you going to have do it?

Probably one in Phoenix. My family is there, and when I moved, I left my car with them. I think I might fly back, get it wrapped, and then drive it back to the city. I was googling shops and I think I've narrowed it down to Apex Customs or AZ Car Wraps. AZ's got a ton of stats on benefits, but they're all intangible.

They have a site with these stats I'm assuming?

Yeah, they call it "car wrap advertising". Super catchy haha. It's a long read, and they've got a few pages on it. Actually, on their homepage, they've got an FR-S they wrapped - saw you have one too.

I don't know about these stats. 50,000 views each day just driving around? If you do it though, you probably should make your car stick out. Change the color or something. When I did just the business info on the side, I don't think that was enough.

I mean it sounds good. Whatever, I guess I can test it for a couple grand, right? I'll see if they can add some colors that stick out. Still have to call for a quote

Curious to see what they'd charge. I only paid a few hundred bucks, but I didn't do the whole truck. I only did the biz info on the side. What you should do is get it done and then anytime someone calls, ask how they found you. You can track it and see if it's working.

 Yes! Genius idea. Thank you for that. I'm gonna call today and see what they say. Will report back.

Yeah man, for sure.

AJX 08-22-2019 05:09 PM

@lm13vand Called AZ. They quoted $1,800. I think it's pretty good because I called Apex and another company also and they both said $2,500. I'm gonna go for it. Switch the color and add some ads info on the side. They said they were booked out til mid September. Will try to remember to post the pic when it's done.

Another option is to use a different phone number / website link to track leads from different sources.
There are free and also paid systems to do this, if you want to look into it.
