Kyle's 1996 Outback + more

Picked up a 96 Impreza Outback yesterday for $350.00. It's not in terrible shape but it needs love. My goal for right now is to get it running and take care of some little things here and there.

The previous owner replaced a the starter, Front 02 Sensor, Coil pack and #4 injector.

He said the motor and trans are shot. Ran perfectly before he changed the timing belt and wouldn't start after he replaced it. So i'm hoping to start with that problem and take it from there!

Current plans are :
Thanks Don lol
-Gauge cluster
-Taillights
-Headlights/Fog lights
-Battery
-Get it running
-Replace whatever needs to be (OEM wise)
-Make it look good

Not looking to build a rocket. I want it running and enjoy it.

I don't plan on this being a beast like Ben's (HonestBob) wagon haha. I just want something fun to romp around in.

It needs a lift kit and a turbo 2.5!

sleeperSL2 03-05-2012 12:38 AM

Lol maybe Chris. Everything is an option.

My ex had a 1998 wagon Sport that I got to drive pretty often and I actually really liked it. I'll miss driving that rally wagon.

I'm excited to get it on the road.

Trying to be patient with getting to work on it. I start a new job on the 19th which means after that I can start digging in to it.
