Moto East Open House May 9th!!! Dyno, tech day, and BBQ!

It is official! Saturday May 9th we will be doing an open house! Our lot can house 100+ cars, and we hope to see that many there!

This will be a great event to get to know your fellow enthusiasts, and also to get a more intimate look at your car and gain some car knowledge!

The following will be available (limited availability depending on how many show up):

Race scales to weigh your car
Lifts to check your underbody
Alignment check (only 10 cars most likely)
BBQ
Dyno next door @ ground zero performance (4wd dyno).

Some things like lifting and alignment/balance checks will need a sign up and will cost a few bucks so we can fund the food and staff.

We may put on a small welding demonstration for those who are interested.

Working on Snap-On Tools making a presence for those who want some top of the line stuff we use every the day.

Address is:

1550 Lehigh Drive
Easton, PA 18042

NOTE: SPEED LIMIT IN THE PARKING LOT IS 10 MPH! It is video monitored and heavily enforced. Save your horsepower for the dyno!

We'll be starting around 9am or so, but we know it is a saturday and we have out of town folks making the trip so the crowd will swell a bit by noon. Closing time will be around 6pm. For things like alignment checks/weigh-in, quick tune, power wash; earlier will be best to make sure they don't get crowded.

Hard for me to get Saturdays off but I will try. You going to have the Miata out there?

Will139 04-22-2015 04:31 PM

I would like to go. How much will the dyno be?

Trualucard 04-22-2015 09:14 PM

This sounds great! My friends and I would love to go. We're coming from the Bronx. Like Will139 said. How much for the dyno?

Trualucard 05-06-2015 09:11 PM

Is this event still on? My friends and I want to go. Haven't seen any chatter on this thread

Sorry sir, I won't make it out due to work. If you plan on hosting some kinds of events at the shop in the summer, my company is getting a bit better about giving managers off one weekend a month so I will have more flexibility.

Do you do fabrication of any kind? I might need some stuff, and if you ever wanted to borrow a turbo NB to test on, I'm willing :)

Uck I wish this was next weekend. I have plans for Saturday already. I'd like to check out the wrx though. I just picked up an2015 for myself yesterday.

We do all kinds of fabrication! We can do turbos, headers, intakes, roll bars etc...

Call ahead and stop in on another day. The WRX should be an auto-x beast in STX trim. Coilvers just went on it along with STX specific tune we made.

Turbo_CitrusEs 05-09-2015 05:22 PM

What color is your wrx? I've seen two in the valley so far besides mine.

mann 05-18-2015 04:53 PM

Thanks to the folks who came out! Awesome turnout and we had just enough food budgeted. Weather was great with just a very brief misting that came and went. We will likely do it again next year. Pictures from the miata club on the FB page.
