GTI or Mazda2?

I have both car's. MK6 GTI is stock. Mazda2 is lightly modified with intake, wheels, tires, front lip, rear torsion bar, short shift kit, race brake pads, solid bushing engine mount. If you know about the B-Spec Mazda2, you know it is a very capable handler and racecar.

Should I lightly modify the GTI and use it as a daily while further modifying the Mazda2 as an AutoX & Circuit track car (backup daily)? I would add Bilstein coilovers, exhaust, and stickier tires to the Mazda.

Or should I daily the Mazda2 and go 280-300HP Stage 2 down-pipe exhaust intake brakes suspension with the GTI as an AutoX & Circuit track car (backup daily)?

Or in other words, which would you rather watch as a Youtube build? haha.

I would very much prefer to drive the GTI but I would prefer to watch a Mazda2 build as it would be unique.

What kinda MPG do you get with the Mazda? If I had a long commute I might keep that as my daily but then again the GTI is a nice place to be. If you are manual trans GTI the clutch will need upgrading for stage 2 so keep that in mind. The GTI in stock form is a great daily as far as comfort and sport.

I also would prefer to watch a Mazda 2 build as GTI builds are more common.

There was a Mazda 2 really pushing it and three-wheeling it on almost every turn at Sebring a few months back when I was there, so Mazda 2 gets my vote.

I'll always prefer Mazda over any Euro car.

While the VW can track and does alright doing it - they're not track cars. Too expensive to maintain in that environment and I don't think they're built to do it over the long term.

Best to stick with the Mazda and enjoy the VW as a great DD you can have fun with.

I own a Ford F150, however, I still love a Mazda. Intended to buy one next year
