The Evolution of My Intrepid!
After a string of bad luck with cars, I purchased my Intrepid for $2800 in spring of 2001 because frankly I didnt have much cash to work with and it sure as hell beat walking!
I was young and a bit ricey so the following pictures from 2003 may blow your mind! 2003 Mods List: Sound Components: 2 - Rockford Fosgate 10" Subs 2 - Rockford Fosgate 150w Amps Kenwood KDC-X869 Head Unit Sirius Satleite Radio Kenwood 3way Rear Speakers Sony 3 way Front Speakers 2 - Clarion 160w Amps Rockford Fosgate 3way 6x9 Mid Range In Trunk Rockford Fosgate 3in Speakers In Trunk Interior Mods: Upgrade to Gray Leather/Power Seats Interior Blue Neon Lights Blue Accented Interior Panels Interior Bulbs - Blue Performance Mods: Removal of Air Restrictor Cone Air Filter Champion Gold Spark Plugs http://images19.fotki.com/v27/photos...jpg?1162595008 http://images19.fotki.com/v354/photo...jpg?1162595011 http://images19.fotki.com/v27/photos...jpg?1162595014 http://images19.fotki.com/v27/photos...jpg?1162595018 In 2004 I grew up and developed a nice little hobby painting cars so I decided to put my skills to good use and gave my Intrepid its first make-over: 2004 Mods List: Current Mods List: Audio/Video: 4ga. I joined a car club and things took off from there. That fall I had a handful of car show trophies in my posession: http://images19.fotki.com/v359/photo...jpg?1162595266 http://images19.fotki.com/v37/photos...jpg?1162595269 Then came 2005. I was already sick of the HOK Kameleon color so I decided to go with a new shade. HOK Burple. http://images19.fotki.com/v37/photos...jpg?1162595611 http://images19.fotki.com/v358/photo...jpg?1162595614 http://images20.fotki.com/v356/photo...jpg?1162595617 2005 Mods List: Interior Modifications: Custom “Treptech” Shifter and Boot X-tal Custom Blue Gauges Leather wrapped Console lid 5% Tint on Rear Windows Electric Blue trunk Lighting Aftermarket Sunroof Aftermarket Black Carpet Chrysler Concorde Leather Seats Custom Trunk Enclosure Exterior Modifications: House of Kolor “Burple” Paint w/ Ice Blue Flake Clear Corner Lamps LED Tail lights Custom painted and tinted Tail lights Strobe lighting Blue Underglow lighting Vent Visors MKW12 17” Chrome Wheels w/ Dunlop tires Performance Modifications: Cool Air intake w/ Vibrant air filter Champion Gold Plugs Taylor Vertex 8mm Plug Wires Custom machined TB Spacers Ravin Performance Z44 Exhaust Optima Red Top Battery Intrax Lowering Springs Crossdrilled and Slotted iRotors Audio/Visual System: 4- 12” Audiobahn AW121T subwoofers 2- Audiobahn A8000T amplifiers Kenwood 3-way 6x9 rear speakers Kicker 3 way 6.75” front speakers Clarion dxz835mp head unit Sirius Satellite Radio Fahrenheit 7.2” Monitor Cyberhome DVD player Ported Rear Deck http://images20.fotki.com/v356/photo...jpg?1162595629 http://images19.fotki.com/v33/photos...jpg?1162595656 http://images19.fotki.com/v354/photo...jpg?1162595667 Then I got myself a set pf chrome rims halfway through the year: http://images20.fotki.com/v355/photo...jpg?1162595706 http://images20.fotki.com/v357/photo...jpg?1162595685 http://images19.fotki.com/v359/photo...jpg?1162595689 http://images19.fotki.com/v354/photo...jpg?1162595692 http://images19.fotki.com/v358/photo...jpg?1162595700 http://images19.fotki.com/v359/photo...jpg?1162595723 http://images19.fotki.com/v27/photos...jpg?1162595742 At the end of 2005 I replaced the Intrepid with my Eclipse as my daily driver. The Intrepid sat and collected cobwebs for months: http://images20.fotki.com/v355/photo...jpg?1162595754 But I busted her out one more time for Carlisle 2006! http://images20.fotki.com/v357/photo...jpg?1162595769 As of this weekend, the Intrepid has been stripped of all the audio extras. In the next 6 months it will be undergoing another massive makeover that will include, fully shaved sides, permanent convertable, and air suspension among other things! Look for more pics of the progress soon! |
all i can say is wow. i think that's the only intrepid i'll ever like. very nice work  i especially like the color

I gotta give you mad props for all that hard work and a clean ass car. Keep it up.

nice work gaze, pretty slick setup also
Thanks for the compliments guys... I snapped a few today while I was parking her in the garage for the winter. It was pretty depressing but I'm excited for the things to come.
it's not my thing - so I can't really complement although its obvious you put a lot of work into it.
great work on the car man
Looks pretty good. I had 1995 (or 98, i forget) intrepid in green, which was fitting, being its nickname was cheechnchong :)

Step 1 in my next transformation: Strip and Store!
I spent Saturday pulling out some of the items worthy of selling and then parked my Intrepid in a garage for the winter right along side my aunt's 65 1/2 Mustang. I think they'll look nice next to one another for the better part of the winter! Old stock wheels slapped back on before she left my carport: http://images19.fotki.com/v37/photos...jpg?1162783254 And the gutted Interior: http://images20.fotki.com/v356/photo...jpg?1162783265 http://images20.fotki.com/v356/photo...jpg?1162783277 And her new home: http://images19.fotki.com/v358/photo...jpg?1162783318 http://images20.fotki.com/v357/photo...jpg?1162783293 http://images19.fotki.com/v358/photo...jpg?1162783332 I almost cried... |
