Wheels...

A bump for the guys at Bonehead.
They did the wheels on my '04 STi, and they came out great.

I might be back soon with a set for my ZL1.
How chrome looking can you get with powder coating these days ?

im sure they will respond, but you cant get close to the depth that chrome has with powder coating.

if you want the chrome appearance just get chrome IMO

Thanks again for the business and glad you liked the wheels we coated for you. As far as the chrome powder, saxon is correct. The chrome powder is more of a shiny silver. It won't have as much reflectivity as the actual chroming process gives you. It is still a nice finish though. Chrome work these days are very expensive so this is a nice alternative. You are welcome to stop in the shop and take a look at the samples of the chrome if you wish.

Understood.
I just feel bad getting lightweight forged wheels and chroming them.
Not sure about the durability of the finish, either.
Although they wouldn't see any winter salt driving.

I certainly will stop in the shop at some point.
Is there a picture that you can post of something (preferably a wheel) done with the chrome powder ?
Thanks.
