Infinite Motorsports "Track Monster"
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Jake Lucas and I have been an avid Subaru fan working in the aftermarket tuning industry for about 8 years. This particular shop/track/project car makes my sixth Suby I've owned now, and I'm sad/proud to say I seem to just keep getting more fanatical and elitist with each one
On to the project! While I still have some big decisions to make concerning the ultimate plan for this car, I can list these intended goals: >Lightweight- We're shooting for about 2600 lbs (or less?) >Custom Parts- As much as possible, this car will be a showcase to custom designed and fabricated parts >Potential Streetability- No trailer queen here, I'd like to drive this car to local events >Testament to my tuning philosophy- Mother Nature makes the rules Updates to follow, here are a few pics: Before teardown: http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g5...s/DSC02274.jpg Getting prepped: http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g5...s/DSC02526.jpg http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g5...s/DSC02522.jpg http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g5...s/DSC02518.jpg |

It's been a long time since I've updated this thread, and for good reason. After a couple months of procrastination, progress has resumed on the car.
Here is a sneak peek- Before: http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g5...s/DSC03215.jpg During: http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g5...s/DSC03224.jpg During: http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g5...s/DSC03227.jpg Now (almost done): http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g5...s/DSC03252.jpg As you can imagine, there is a LOT more to do. I'll keep everyone updated, hope you like what we're doing! |

who welded that? you jake?

Of course I did. |
hahaha i had to tease you about it.
looks good man. |
I'll get much more detail when it starts shaping up. Welding thin sheet to a thick chassis is not easy, and I'll most likely grind the welds smooth before paint. It'll look "factory". HA
|
hell yea, i cant wait to see it... sticking with silver? please say no.
