I alreadfy saw one on the road in nj. didnt have stickers in the window & it was on the road so im assuming it was owned by the driver. looked nice.

Ender81 03-05-2009 09:56 AM

I love the look but someone at the meet last night said the Hyundai fans that have driven them don't like them. I wouldn't mind taking one for a spin myself though.

WRX_JB 03-19-2009 01:17 AM

DaBombDiggidy 03-21-2009 04:38 PM

This car is so legit. I went and got in one at a dealer, that interior is amazing. Absolutely just as good or better than a BMW 335i or a G37. Im seriously considering one of these for my DD in a few years.

nightblurr 03-22-2009 12:41 PM

i'm suprized how nice they look

blinkme323 03-28-2009 02:43 AM

I picked mine up about a month ago, love it so far.

tranceporter 03-28-2009 02:51 AM

going to drop by the stealership and check them out

they def have my attention

jcr557 03-28-2009 02:55 AM

agreed^

ndubz 03-28-2009 03:14 AM

Me and my friend went and checked out the Genesis coupe, then we went and test drove a BMW 335i. We both agreed that the interior was on par or better in the genesis. For real, the genesis is legit as hell. Ya maybe its not quite as fast as a stang gt or 370Z, but with the price difference in mods, i bet itd leave them both. also, I have yet to see any test of the car where the testers actually knew how to launch it right. All the ones ive seen on Youtube the car bogged of the line. But the drag race was conclusive. The 370Z rapes all. But i think that for the price, the Hyundai may be better.

tranceporter 03-28-2009 12:43 PM

don't forget the v6 gen coupes have that 3 second delay in between shifts to protect the tranny. a nice ecu flash should pep things up. i'd still rather go with the 2.0T. a rwd, baby evo x motor?? yes, please!!

ndubz 03-28-2009 01:32 PM

ya but that's only for the automatic I think. Unless hyundai is very creative as to do that on a manual. But that would be soo annoying to have to deal with.

RbBuGbiTme 04-11-2009 10:06 AM

Everyone laughs but I had the 01 Tiburon and loved how it drove and the interior (new Tibby sucks) so the 2.0 Track version is at the top of my list for when I graduate. Depending on where I live it'll be the Genesis Coupe or a 2 seater street legal turbo busa powered FSAE type car and I'll work on my 240.

I just got my 2.0T track edition since Rspec isn't coming out till next year 3rd qaurter. I'm designing CF parts with a local NJ company (NADFAB) as we speek. I owned a 2004 tibby and loved it. and I'm glad AMS and Bouscher racing are apart of this new car. plus RMR and a few other companies don't help either lol. but I see this unfortunately turning into the next fanboy car. I'm a hyundia guy originally and will be always. but I'm glad that Hyundai stepped the game up. I remember when the 2004 tibby came out car and drver said, "it's a good bang for your buck for a 'wanna-be sports car' " and I'm glad Hyundai shut them up lol.

the delay has been fixed. there has been a recall for ECU reflashes for people who already bought the cars so that is no longer an issue. they changed it from 3 to 1 second delay. and so you know the 2.0T is not a Evo X motor. yes it is based on the world black but there is three major factors in the designs from what AMS has posted as they have been ripping Trevor's car apart (one of there techs):

1.) Hyundai is a 2 bolt main instead of a 4 bolt Evo X
2.) Head work in the Genesis is a complicated CVVTS system compared to the Evo X head work
3.) Genesis is a open deck design over the Evo X closed deck.

but besides these little things that add up AMS has confirmed that the Rods, pistons, and fuel pump are the same. fuel pump setup on the genesis flows alittle bit better then the Evo X but the rods in the genesis are not forged. plus they can't get the car to boost higher than 18psi with a boost controller.
Right now basically there's two things people are trying to figure out quickly:
1.) Figure out the Siemen's CANII ECU system to unlock full potential of tuning (AMS and AEM are working very hard on right now)
2.) creating a fuel return system since the stock injectors are built really for a 300WHP mark. (which AMS again is designing parts right now)
3.) Aftermarket Intercooler setup( no room for a nice size intercooler since the distance between the bumper and crash bar is so minute they cut the crashbar over in korea)

you'll see a lot of great things coming out soon. I know AEM right now is trying to put Cosworth EVO X cams right now in and see if there standalone can tune it.

I retract this statement, unless it was the color I really thought the green one at the Sonic meet was ugly. I'm going to take one for a spin though, I can get past looks pretty easy if it's got a lot going for it elsewhere.

DVR MZ3 04-16-2009 01:11 PM

go on genesisforums.org

trust me if you saw how much R&D developement is going on with AMS and Buscher you will be happy :)
