Yay! new custom powder coated rims are finally under way. They are getting a 4 layer powder coat.

Removed all the fake allen head bolt and tapped threads for real stainless steel allens to be installed, then stripped and polished the lips:

#1 Super Chrome lips:

Taping off the lips after Super Chrome for face coating This was a total PITA and 2 of the 4 rims had to get redone due to the tape pulling off after going back into the oven.

#2 Ink Black Base Coat:

#3 Chameleon Violet Mid Coat:

Ill have more pics when final stages get done....hopefully in about a week. The last steps are custom Liquid Powder Coats logo in silver powder coat on one of the spokes and a final clear powder coat top coat. After the powder coating is finished I still have to install all the 150 stainless steel screws that go around the faces of the rims.

I love what you've done with the car!

Martin has a valve cover of mine that he is going to give to you next time you are up that way. Black one for the 2ZZ car.
