Formula DRIFT Returns to Wall Speedway

First opening in 1950 as Wall Stadium, Wall Speedway as it’s now known will host Round 4: The Gauntlet on June 17-18, 2011.

The track lives up to its moniker as the "Gauntlet" with a 16 degree banked oval along the straightaway and 30 degrees on the turns. The drivers will be challenged on this course and this track is the first on the schedule where drivers utilize the entire oval. This course is very tricky and many drivers have fallen victim to the degree of difficulty that the bank, straightaway, and inside turn creates. Each seat in the house has a great view of the action within the “bowl” and fans will not be disappointed.

The final round on the East Coast at Wall Speedway will be one of the most exciting events of the season. The 2-day event weekend will be filled with the best drifting action in the nation with the top drivers putting it all on the line on the very tricky course. Wall Speedway is a very fan-friendly venue and fans will be treated to a great view of all the action.

2:00 pm – 4:30 pm – FD: QUALIFYING – All Drivers, reverse ranking order – Track
4:45 pm – 5:00 pm – FD: MANDATORY – All Drivers’ Meeting; Qualifying Results – FD HQ
5:00 pm – 6:00 pm – FD: MANDATORY – Autograph Signing – Top 32 – TBA
6:00 pm – 7:00 pm – FD: OPEN PRACTICE – Top 32 – Track

Saturday, June 18, 2011 - Main Event

12:00 pm - 7:00 pm – Gates Open to the Public - Venue
12:30 pm – 1:30 pm – OPEN PRACTICE: Top 32 – Track
1:30 pm – 3:30 pm – MAIN COMPETITION: Round of 32 – Track
3:30 pm – 4:30 pm – "Half Time" Break
4:30 pm – 5:00 pm – National Anthem / Opening Ceremonies – Track
5:00 pm – FD: MAIN COMPETITION - Round of 16 to Finals – Track
7:00 pm – 7:30 pm – Trophy Ceremony & Closing – Main Paddock
