car looks pretty badass, congrats on the swap. engine bay looks beautiful.

DropTopChevy 08-11-2006 10:25 PM

I personally would have done the sleeper look but im liking what u did with the car

OutOfStock 08-11-2006 10:51 PM

Cool what made you want to swap a bug eye RS instead of a GC? Anyway its cool looking. Plus its probably pretty damn quick with the insurance of an Rs

dangerousatom 08-11-2006 10:52 PM

its still a bit sleeper esk......FMIC is blacked out and hidden by a grill and its still badged 2.5rs At least now its as fast as it looks

Renegade_ 08-11-2006 11:03 PM

Did you do the merging of the harness yourself? If you did it yourself I will seriously contact you in the future when I swap my RS for points of reference.

WRX27 08-11-2006 11:09 PM

wow! Very nice!

spoolinLSsol 08-11-2006 11:11 PM

car is sick!!!

CHAOS 08-12-2006 12:06 AM

the thread for this on nasioc is huge lol nice car man

james_ls 08-12-2006 12:14 AM

Saw it on Sunday....SICK dude...just keeps getting better and better.

Whats next??

TROLL 08-12-2006 12:35 AM

hey, didnt even know you were doing this... thats pretty sick though... much prefer the car with a stout power plant of course. you dont want to do the full sti drivetrain to complete the sti swap, including R180 and Brembos?

SUB2.5RS 08-12-2006 12:53 AM

Wow, this is so cool. May i asked how much the swapped cost? By the way sick car i like it alot.

PotenzaSub 08-12-2006 03:42 AM

:jawdrop: my jaw almost broke off when i saw this

question: what's the purpose of that box?

Ender81 08-12-2006 03:56 AM

That's pretty sick man. That airbox is crazy.

StreetEG 08-12-2006 06:10 AM

if you put the stock sti intercooler in an airbox then i am going to have to hate on that.

1 its pre-turbo
2 its extra weight
3 it could very well be restrictive ( i cant see the actual design)

Not that it looks like you were going with the function>form version of hookin the car up anyway.

Other then that--- congrats on the swap. glad tosee you have some balls back up the styling. Now get an external gate and really scare people

Honest_Bob 08-12-2006 09:16 AM

He's got a FMIC, that box is for the air intake.

jc8889 08-12-2006 10:26 AM

What did you lay down on the dyno?

dangerousatom 08-12-2006 11:01 AM

Negative on the 6 speed swap...I fugure Ill break sumthing in that anyway ( when the bigger turbo comes ) so why spen the $3000+ to swap it and then do it again when it breaks a 2nd time .....I mind as well just do it rite the first time w/PPG for a lil less then the cost of two 6 speeds.....Yes I need breaks like StopTecs or sumthing with a 13in rotor

Like BoB said I gotz a FMIC....that box is a filter isolation box....welcome to the world of cars with out cold air intakes and short rams that do less than nothing but make Ur car loud----er

Cost...? w/motor and motor swap related stuff close to $7k

Harness: No I did a total harness swap from tail lights to the rad fans....all plug and play sept for the 4 wires on the tranz

TROLL 08-12-2006 12:04 PM

you definitely wont break an STi 6 speed... it is incredibly strong. with that said ppg gears are great and if you want to go that way then i'm sure you wont regret it. if you want something to hold the power though, either will do just fine there.

teh DIRT 08-12-2006 12:06 PM

yeah wow. sick car. ryan and the guys are 1320 are good
