my step sis has one it's an 04. She's looking for a spoiler to put on it, something close to the stock one or maybe factory one depending on price.

gary 07-23-2008 07:26 AM

^^
Not too much out there except aluminum ones. Concepto makes one that isn't too bad but you can pick up a used OEM one for $50 to $75.

Ohh yea I have one =)

Number 23 07-23-2008 11:48 AM

^^ As long as its not the GT V6 Tibby that has the factory body kit and spoiler. She said that one sticks out to far. Any good sites to pick up a used OEM silver spoiler?

gary 07-23-2008 11:55 AM

there is no factory body kit as far as I know. There are two oem spoilers, high and low. The low spoiler, people give away. The high spoiler can be picked up from newtiburon.com pretty cheap. You just have to watch for them.

Here is the concepto:

I gots an elantra! haha

Well then it must have just been through a dealer around where I live. The GT V6 Tibby you could get with a full Aero Kit and Spoiler with fogs. I'll post a picture later of one.

Also thank you for the pics and the links on the spoilers.

Got a low drag Razzi Spoiler a couple years ago for my girl's 04 Tibby Gt. Haven't seen a better looking spoiler for the tibs as of yet in my opinion. The low drag Razzi gives the shark an elongated more areodynamic profile, and more of a euro resemblance as well. Hate the Razzi Kit, Love the Razzi Low Drag Spoiler.

No offense but that spoiler is hideous. I would put an aluminum/cf spoiler on the tibby before that....but thats just me, if you like it, more power to ya.

gary 07-24-2008 11:53 AM

I think the sexiest spoiler is the CF OEM high spoiler but that is just me.

So what does everyone have done to their hyundais?

Nahhh dude, Now why would you put an "aluminum" spoiler on a tibby?...I hope you're not talking about one of those shopping cart GT type??...Aluminum or GT style spoilers only look good on Tibs that have a wide-body kits. Carbon Fiber Spoilers only look good on Tibs that have dressed in a carbon-fiber theme. Low drag spoilers look way better on sharks, because they streamline/aero the car and stretch it a bit making the car look less stubby & chunky. They give the car a more quality less "APC" PEP BOY look that an aluminum GT type spoiler would. It boils down to what theme look you're going for. But ,like you, thats just my opinion and we all are entitled to our own :)

OPZ 07-26-2008 06:53 PM

Exactly, I personally HATE the streamlined/whale tale spoilers on ALL cars. I think it's the fugliest thing ever, even if its fully functional.

But my tastes and my actual modding are quite different. Both my elantra and 240 are very clean modded or so I feel.

Cool, Its just a matter of different tastes. To me, as long as the spoiler fits and blends with the theme in which you've directed the car's build, "most" spoilers are going to look good.

That's about the same design on the tibbys that run around here. They have that spoiler with a body kit and have the fogs relocated in toward the center more.

Heres what the bodykits look like on the tibbys running around Harrisburg Area. You could get that bodykit with that wing ^^ installed right from the dealer at Harrisburg Hyundai
