after painting the car i took turtle wax rubbing compound and buffed away(most time consuming part) requires a lot of elbow grease to remove the random pieces, i want to try wet sanding the whole car just to see how it looks but feel it wont come out right idk.

finally i waxed with with turtle wax hard shell wax(pointless)

if i were to turn back time , i probably wouldave just bought another REAL paint job but w/e

    g/l

    my total cost would be
krylon paint cans(found at walmart @ 3 dollars a can)
    4-flat black
    6-true blue
    2-gloss black

    blue painters tape
    2 rolls
    $8-$15

1 half gallon of acetone(lowes/home depot)
    $10-$20

    sandpaper
    $20-$50

    rubbing compound
    $6-$15

    good luck

I would stay away from degreaser just because it leaves a residue on the car

i removed the headlights and front bumper prior to any work

i prepped the whole car as would a "real paint job" i ruffed up the whole car with 80 and up to 220 ....not wet sanded...to much trouble.(didnt bother washing it b4 sanding it)

i sanded from 80-220, then used acetone to clean up all the sanded dust

i used krylon flat black as a base coat/primer, then ran over again with the 220 grit and again with the acetone

i then painted the roof with krylon gloss black

taped of the roof and wiped down the car with acetone(extra step)

then painted from the top down with krylon true blue gloss paint

ive repainted my car 3 times...each time looking better and better, were they needed? not at all, the krylon paint lasted the entire winter and fought off the salt.
