Alright, well for the OCC meet which is 200+ miles away from me on sat, i taped up the front half of my car.
I did the entire front end, and the hood is CF but you obviously cant tell from looking in these pics.
I have school tom and i leave for OCC sat at like 3am, should i be able to drive to school and park my car in a spot that potentialy has direct sun light for like 7 hours?
and btw. post your pics of your tape jobs. and if you have any ideas for me as far as designs etc. go just let me know, ive got plenty of tape and time left.

it should have some sort of rating for "clean removal" or something like that...

its the mid adhesive one. nothing about removal, the blue one just says gaurenteed clean removal after 14 days, but thats when your painting your house lol

as we went we added mileage and different little things from each place or stop that we made. it was a cool little tradition to keep things interesting.

Write backwards on your hood "MOVE OVER."
Im thinking about having that permanently sprayed on my bumper.

nope. it was about a week long road trip, so by the end rain and wind had taken its toll, only helping the removal.
if you are concerned though you can get the "delicate" type blue tape, but it might cost a bit more

Dollar store blue tape is incredibly delicate. Sometimes its not sticky enough though.

Nope, and id rather not get chips in my brand new cf hood on my 400 mile trip...i know it will happen eventualy, but the chances of doing it in a 400 mile trip straight shot are alot worse

use duct tape. leave it in the sun for a week. then try taking it off, WAY cleaner than painters tape =)

I'm with you! I drove down to OCMD 2 years ago with a fresh paint job. When is the last time you saw a Ferrari taped up or Classic Car? The Bra on the VW was fine it was the tape that lost me. Some of these fads are too much! Can someone explain the Tree Airfreshner on the tow hook to me? Saw A WRX with one today.

My hood has about 155 chips in it. That's after 238,000 miles of driving. I went and used touch up paint on them all because a few were rusting, it's not just like I went out and counted. That's about 1,500 miles per chip. I think most of it happened at once though. The windshield also has 8 small chips.

Maybe you should have used blue tape on your windshield then.
